Stayed Nov 16, 2025Very charming, cozy, and clean adobe within walking distance to multiple restaurants and town. The host was very accommodating and check in and out was a breeze. On a quiet street a block or two from a good burger, a cold beer, or breakfast. Definitely would book again if I was back in Taos.

Stayed Oct 20, 2025We enjoyed our stay here. This is a spacious old adobe home with lots of character, almost entirely furnished with antiques.. The one qualification to that statement is that the single bathroom is quite small but still functional.

Stayed Oct 7, 2025This is an absolutely charming place to stay! We loved the many tasteful southwestern touches that give it the historic charm mentioned in the description. It was an artist’s house and his work is displayed throughout. It’s far enough from the main drag to be very peaceful and quiet; we slept well. The front porch and garden were an additional lovely place to spend time and listen to the birds singing and the wind chimes making their gentle sound. The hostess was extremely responsive; when we asked for an additional key she cheerfully provided one. I highly recommend this pueblo casita, which has that artistic flair Taos is known for. One note: although the house is one story, there are a number of small steps up and down (mentioned in the description) between the rooms and for someone who is balance-challenged or unsure on their feet it might take some extra care at first until it becomes familiar. We were fine with it.

Stayed Jul 26, 2025Very nice and cool place with a great location in Taos right off the main street. Walking distance and/or a *very* short drive to things to see and do in town. Me, my wife, and her mother stayed here for a family event nearby (our youngest son was getting engaged) and we all enjoyed out stay. My only quibbles are that there is no A/C (and the owner clearly states that) and it did get a *tad* warm at night (I'm from Texas and I'm used to A/C so there you go!) but it wasn't insufferable at all. Also, the grass in the backyard area was a little high -- but we didn't go out back anyway. We did use the kitchen to cook 2 nights and it was furnished adequately. There's no dishwasher, so I'd recommend washing pots/pans and cooking/eating utensils before use. I'll also note that there's only 1 bathroom, so that may be a bit of a challenge for a large group. For us with just 3, it was fine. We'll definitely stay here again if and when we return to Taos!

Stayed Jun 20, 2025This home was warm and inviting with everything we needed. A property in beautiful Taos with a great family history, this home had a scrapbook that told stories of the property in words and photographs. If you love books, the owner has you covered. The porch was private and a great place to sit and enjoy the beautiful birds and cool Taos mornings and nights. The location is perfect. Close to the Plaza, yet far enough to feel secluded. Laura was a great host, and I highly recommend this property!

Stayed Dec 17, 2024This clean and quirky traditional style house is full of original art and cozy furnishings. Right off the main street, yet amazingly quiet. If you can pull yourself away from the house, you are within walking distance of everything downtown Taos has to offer. Barely over a mile in the other direction to Taos Pueblo. Very responsive host. wonderful to visit any time of the year.

Stayed Oct 24, 2024Just a perfect house to stay in Taos if you want to get the local vibe of adobe homes plus comfort. This house is beautifully furnished with great local art and furniture. The kitchen is not a gourmet”s dream but has all that you need if you choose to cook. Local restaurants are so good you may not bother to cook.

Stayed Sep 4, 2024Staying at this authentic, historic property was such a treat, like staying in a mini museum. We were really immersed in the Southwest vibe. The kitchen was adequately supplied and a washer and drier on site was very convenient. Great location for walking to restaurants, shops and a museum, yet on a quiet side street. If we visited Taos again, we'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Stayed Jun 10, 2024Wonderful stay in a beautiful property with all the comforts of home. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. We loved that it was on a quiet street, yet it was within walking distance of the town square and many local popular restaurants. We didn’t have any pets with us but this would be a great place if you are traveling with a dog, because of the nice enclosed front and back yard. If you appreciate staying in an authentic 1950s adobe home, this property will not disappoint. We really hated to leave and will come back in the future when exploring Taos, Santa Fe and Ghost Ranch. ???

The house and exterior fenced back yard are excellently maintained with beautiful flowers and vines. Loved that patio for breakfast and sitting outside at night. Location is great for walking into Taos downtown and art community. We will be back!
