This was a wonderful choice for us. Location is close to everything…good food and shopping…as well as easy access to Maggie Valley, Sylva…and Asheville. It is quiet with no houses right next to you. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen has everything you would need (although we ate out every meal… too many choices to sit home and eat). Starter supply of shampoo, etc. was all we needed. Check in and out was easy; communication with the host was excellent. It will be on our list of properties to return to. One note….the listing does indicate stairs, along with a picture; however the stairs are steeper and narrower than the picture shows; we did OK but it’s worth noting. Overall an excellent place to stay.

This is a lovely little apartment on the beautiful grounds of a historic house (now a museum). The gardens and lawns surrounding the property are amazing- tended by local garden clubs, they are full of flowers and plants and old growth trees. And an added bonus, the weekly Farmers Market takes place on the property! It is a short walk to downtown, but it is uphill. (Nice downhill walk home, though!) The only thing that would have made this place better would be a balcony to sit outside to view the mountains, which surround this property :)

Beautiful property! Perfectly located and rich with history. Check-in was a little off because we arrived at midnight. The team was ready to help us, but we didn't want to disturb them. Now I understand they are staffed 24/7! The kitchen was very well appointed, yet charming!

Stayed 3 nights for hiking and cutting down Christmas Tree. House was within uphill walk of town, in the middle of large field. Very clean, perfect for a couple or small family. Bathroom is tiny but adequate. Wouldn’t recommend for two couples because only one bath.

My husband and I came for a long weekend to get away from the disaster in our hometown, Asheville. We were mostly interested in finding a clean pet friendly place where we could enjoy running water, be able to cook for ourselves, and have a laundry facility. I knew this was going to be a nice spot because of its rating, but I really had no idea how much we were going to enjoy it. The location is wonderful. So close to town, right next to the theater which we enjoyed seeing a show while we were there, and just nice and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful To look at and lovely to walk in. We will definitely come back

Great place for a temporary stay after a hurricane . I was completely comfortable and had everything I needed. I never felt unsafe, uncomfortable, or like I was worried about needs. Great little town, of course! Thanks guys!

The location was technically within walking distance to town but the hill was so steep for a good .5 mile we drive downtown. Plenty of parking in town and super cute shops. We drove 45 miles to the Boogerman trail in the Great Smokey Mountains park. This place had everything we wanted. Absolutely old time feel with all the modern capabilities. It is a little pricey and there was a little more traffic with it being attached to a museum small event center but it was quiet and i would stay here again.

Property was just as pictured and very clean! Well stocked with kitchen essentials and basics for cooking. Convenient to downtown Waynesville, highways, and Lake Junaluska where we were attending a conference. There was a community market on Saturday morning that we could walk to from the front door! We enjoyed our long weekend stay!
