Morro Bay is one of California’s great Central Coast communities The area has become famous for its beautiful state parks, bird estuary’s, and the distinct Morro Rock. Tourists and locals both enjoy a variety of activities in the area, including fishing, surfing, kayaking, golfing, bird watching, beachcombing, or just relaxing and enjoying the sunset. Besides the nature and recreation of Estero Bay, there are also fine restaurants, and unique shops. Morro Bay, the largest of the three cities, is at the heart of Estero Bay. Morro Rock, the last in a chain of long-extinct volcanoes, covers over 50 acres at its base and towers 576 feet above the entrance to Morro Bay. The waters that make up the bay are contained within a three-mile sandpit and the shores of Morro Bay and Los Osos. The local fishing industry is one of the most important along the California Coast. On the Embarcadero, you can shop, walk to Tidelands Park and play on the pirate ship, or simply sit and watch as the boats make their way to sea.

We had a spectacular stay. The weather was beautiful the sunsets with so much color. It was a perfect escape. The kitchen was will supplied for making Thanksgiving dinner. Cozy and comfortable. Only hiccup. Don’t leave anything. Our mistake but We came back 20 min later and the cleaning staff took our belongings and said they were gone. Little disappointing

The property was very nice. I wish there was a small fence to keep my dog from going over a 50 foot drop . But other than that I already booked another week

The front bedroom requires blackout curtains or roll down blinds. Lights from passing vehicle headlights are at the same level as someone sleeping and it is very disturbing. OR relocate the bed to the opposite wall. ThanksOtherwise everything is great as usual.

This historical property was perfect for my annual sister's getaway. We were able to easily walk to two parks and the Morro Bay Embarcadero area. It's cozy and comfortable.

My husband, dog and I stayed three nights here. Great location, right on the bay and easy 15 min. walk to downtown restaurants and shops. We appreciated the comfortable seating, they have a nice recliner and reclining couches. I do wish the property had a dishwasher and a few more upgrades, but overall this place was great.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this quaint, funky historic cottage. The view out the back with the adirondack chairs is great. It is fully stocked and comfortable. If you want modern, minimalist, this is not for you. If you want some character and a handcrafted built-ins and furniture, this is for you.

Very much enjoyed our week here. It is an historic cottage, reminded me of our family lake house they built in 1940. Miss having that, so I liked the feeling of this place. We could watch the Bay for hours. Everything you need is there, but you are close to town, too. We knew there’s no dishwasher, so took lots of paper plates to avoid a lot of handwashing. A little lazy on vacation. Modern life has its perks, Door Dash brought us some great food quickly, so we’d not have to cook. Try Beach Burgers’ clam chowder. BEST we’ve ever had. Unexpected. :)

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The house was lovely, and situated with a view of the water. Our family stayed here for a total of 4 days, not counting the day we left. The neighborhood is very quiet and calm, which made for a relaxing stay. Many things were also provided, including board games in the closet! There are also many places nearby, such as grocery stores and restaurants, as well as plenty of little shops. The house itself was fantastic. Everything functioned well (the windows, shower, etc), which made our stay very easy. If you want to stay in a quiet neighborhood located near lots of interesting and fun places (including Morro Rock!), this may just be the house for you.

I have rented quite a few properties through this site and this was one of the best. I got exactly what I expected. The house was exactly as described - a cute, historic house with all the charms that go along with that. For a quick Father's Day weekend trip with the teens, we didn't bring much food so not having a dishwasher was no problem. We made coffee and used the microwave twice - all worked perfectly. Coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon overlooking the boats was divine. The house is a nice walk to downtown kayak rentals, restaurants, shops. My husband and son brought e-bikes and enjoyed cruising all around town and around the golf course. It was nice to store the bikes safely in the garage. My daughter and I went for a run along the water - not hilly and lovely views from the moment you leave the door. We all rented kayaks before the winds picked up. We puzzled and read and relaxed. It was just what we wanted. Extra bonus was that the property management company was extremely professional, clear, and accessible. At the last minute, I thought my pet sitter was flaking so asked about bringing my 15-lb dog. They responded quickly and said I could call to pay the pet fee. It turned out I didn't need to, but it was nice to have that option when I was unsure what would happen on my end.
