Hilltop Retreat - This large home with views in a serene setting is a great spot for your next family retreat

The agent communicated well and the house met our needs very well. We used it as a base to set up and attend a wedding 20 mins away.

Very welcoming hosts and a very well-equipped and spacious comfortable home. It has a ‘Nana’s place’ vibe, so it would be a great place to bring family groups with kids. We loved the quiet rural atmosphere, and yet wonderful beaches and the township were so accessible.

BachCare personnel were welcoming and responsive to an appliance issue. For our extended family's holiday with 2 dogs, the 3 living rooms and number of bedrooms suited us well.Proximity to Mangawhai Heads and a shopping hub was convenient.There was room to enjoy being together and quiet spaces for time out. Hilltop Retreat was ideal for relaxing after a day at the nearby surf beaches. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to groups wanting a spacious home.

Property was good for us, plenty of space and fun for kids

Large and comfortable. Very clean inside. The price is very reasonable so we didn't expect flash and pristine and it's not. But it was just right for our large extended family with little children. Very private and Charlene from the booking agency (Bach Stay) is friendly and accommodating. 4 rather than 5 stars because although there seemed to be nothing overflowing, there was a strong unpleasant sewerage smell out the back.

House was perfect for our group of three families. The kids loved building a hut in the bush and kept them really busy. Will be back

Huge space with lots of hangout areas. Plenty of space for kids or different groups to do their own thing. Good functional kitchen for those big shared meals. Had a great stay with friends.

Lovely large house. Foozball was a hit. Great spacious kitchen with everything you need. Hot water in shower is impacted if someone is using the other shower, but apart from that we had an excellent stay. Fire was lovely.

Comfortable well-equipped large house about 10 mins out of town. Situated on hill ensuring beautiful views from top storey. Especially appreciated it being pet friendly.

The house is a great size for extended family with areas where we could all be together but also enough space to be apart and do our own thing when we felt like it We all really enjoyed our stay!

Awesome property for our needs. Two Families and a Grandparent. Lots to do and see. Loved the Glow Worm caves. Beaches were great too. Very fortunate we had awesome weather the week we were there.

Every two years our family of 2 grandparents, 3 parents and 4 grandchildren gather together from abroad and elsewhere in a suitable house in a nice location. Not easy to find a nice place in a nice location that works for our group of 9. This place was perfect. Totally comfortable and clean and contained everything we needed. Would stay again.

It was nice and quiet. Lovely for a get away. Only problem is the beds.The beds is not comfy and the bath tub. The bath tub's tap is too far. You need to climb into the bath to open the tap. The jacuzzi bath is not working. The wi-fi. It is best to get unlimited wi-fi in order for the quests to stay longer. Other than that, the stay was nice. Very private which is awesome.

The Bach was clean and neat Lovely for the family. Great communication with host. Highly recommended

We loved our stay, everything we needed was available, my whole family loved the CD collection and fuse ball table. Great sized rooms with two living areas. Bach was in close proximity to supermarket, takeaways, petrol station, the Saturday market was an extra bonus.

Brilliant place, just as advertised. Private, Clean, Spacious, lovely views, all the mod cons. Great communication and very friendly communication by owners. Highly recommended, would book again.

Loved everything about the house! Everyone had their own room and space. Had everything we needed for an amazing weekend getaway. Bonus was the fact that we could bring our 4 legged friends!! Thank you we will definitely be back.

What a wonderful place to stay. having 3 families in one play usually means that you are falling over each other , but here was so good . Quiet space upstairs and family gatherings down stairs. Would stay here again .
