Hilltop ocean view round house

We had an amazing time at the Hilltop! Everything was beautiful. We had two young children and two dogs and the house was very kid and dog friendly. We enjoyed walking around on the trails. The only thing that was disappointing was one of the mattresses (the room closest to the garage) had large saddles on both sides of the mattress, and was very uncomfortable.

This was the most amazing property. Vuews were unbelievable. Comfort was unmatched. Everything was clearly labeled and we wanted for nothing. Plenty of games and cooking supplies. Communication with the host was quick and effortless. Highly highly recommend this place. Should i ever be fortunatel to return to the area i will definitely choose this place again.

We had an amazing weekend at the round house! The location is perfect on the central coast to explore beaches, lakes, dunes, forests, carnivorous plants! We had some rain but just cozied up in the crow’s nest and basked in the views. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked…we felt right at home immediately! Thank you for this great opportunity to get away!

Pros: Plenty of room for the 8 of us. Beds were comfy. Property was a fun run for our pups. Cons: doorknob fell off the bedroom door. Walls were pretty thin. A 3rd bathroom would have been great. More screened/operarional windows. We would stay again though. The crows nest was cool

An absolute gem. Incomparable views. Never saw another person. Acres to explore. Thoughtfully furnished and organized. Many activities, shops, and restaurants within 15 minute drive.

Very nice place. Very comfortable with everything needed labeled and present (except paper towels). Only stayed two nights but this is a good place to stay.

It was a beautiful house Very clean and a gorgeous view. We were not at the house a lot, but when we were, it was pretty comfortable. It was a bit warm at times. We were glad there were some fans and windows that opened. We loved how everything was labeled and very nice. We were there for a wedding so having the use of the garage was great because I still was making decorations. We loved the games and the big table. The beds were comfortable. It slept all 10 of us very well. It was great!

We really enjoyed the house. There was plenty of room for eight people to spread out and settle in comfortably. Everyone loved the well stocked kitchen and the view as well. We were close to Florence, the beach, and lake Mercer where we rented a pontoon boat one afternoon while there.

The house is great. The inside was very clean and well stocked with towels, cleaning products and even shower supplies. Water pressure was great and hot water so almost instant. Great points. There were a few things that if I own it and was renting it out I would do better. The big windows in the living and kitchen area are so great but they were very dirty and had spider webs all over them. (they had been there for awhile). We sprayed the windows with the hose, removed must of the spiders and webs but the windows were still dirty. I would trim some of the trees, before long there will not be a view to the ocean. The whole outside of the house needs power washed, spiders everywhere. The deck is nice but could not use because of the spiders and it needs hosed down. Off the deck was a table and chairs but the dead weeds were so tall you could not use it. The beds were uncomfortable and need replaced, living room furniture is also uncomfortable, we spent most of our time setting at the dining table. TV should be in the living area so the whole family can watch together. TV should be able to get local news stations. Washer doesn't get all the soap rinsed out so we had to rinse and spin twice. We did have a good time staying there but if we could have seen out the windows better and not see spiders while eating, and spent time in the living room as a family and slept better it would have been the best place ever!!!!

The property was as listed. Everything was well labeled and easy to find. Everything was clean and nicely organized. I would definitely recommend this property for a nice family stay.

The property was clean, well organized (all drawers and cabinets were even labeled, making everything easy to find around the house), and it was a unique and cozy. We wished we had booked another night!

Spectacular views! Spacious! Wonderfully labeled! Welcoming! We had cousins from Connecticut, Michigan and Oregon gather over the time of our visit and everyone was impressed.

We loved our stay at this cool house. Worked out great for our group of four adults and four kids (ages 2-12). It was very cool to be surrounded by windows and the woods! Only 15 minutes from the ocean. We had a fun time riding buggies on the dunes while we were there. My son loved sleeping in the round room up top. Thanks for the nice stay!Only suggestions are a fan for the double bed room (since you can't open the window) and a few more kid friendly cups.

The scenery from the house was exceptional! So beautiful. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative was that the kitchen counters were not clean...food (rice) and crumbs on the counters and sticky in spots so we needed to give it a good cleaning that way. Also the dishes in the dishwasher were not clean. But other than that it was wonderful. The bathrooms were very clean and comfortable...great shower pressure. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

360 degree view without a single house in sight - unexpected and rare. Nice place!

This property had lots of space for our whole family including 4 bedrooms, roomy kitchen, large dining and living room and our favorite place - the crows nest. The crow's nest had great views of the woodsy surrounding area and was great for morning coffee gatherings and pre-dinner drink times. Large windows in the entire living area made you feel like you were right there in the woods!

Stunning panoramic view, hundreds of feet above the surrounding terrain. Beautiful Lake Mercer at base of the hill with pontoon rentals. We have stayed twice and would like to return. Overall, a wonderful place.

The house was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone! Well stocked. Very woodsy yet close to town. The kids loved the crows nest! I would definitely open the bottom floor as a game room! Pet friendly! We will be back!

Generally well kept and extremely well stocked with all the necessity. The Crow's Nest was definitely a hit for nature watching. We have to drive up a moderately steep gravel road to get to the house, which gave a sense of adventure. All the places of interest were relatively close by vehicle. There is even a state park at the entrance of Mercer Lake road. The only suggestion I would add for the host is to add a yellow strip on the edge of the stairs leading to the front door. I have a little depth perception issue and almost tripped down the concrete stains. However, after I caught my initial fall, I compensated for it visually. Other than that, this place comes highly recommended!

It is a beautiful location and a wonderful house with a view of the surrounding area from the crows nest. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots and pans and assorted other cooking implements to cook whatever you wanted and didn't have to do the dishes after every meal. There was plenty of games to play, laundry use provided. It was close to Florence and many beaches and tourist activities.

We absolutely loved our stay. In fact, it was really hard to leave. The 360 room up top was the perfect spot to set up our projector and watch a family movie together. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The bath tub in the master bedroom was perfect for soaking after a long day of adventure and fun. Lots of board games to play. The views are fantastic from almost every window. Perfect distance from everything including shopping, food, the beach, swimming spots, and Sandland Adventures where we went on a dune buggy tour and raced gocarts. The kids can't wait to book our next stay.
