Hilltop Cottage - Newly Renovated in the Heart of Saugatuck -Location, Location!

Great location, walkable to downtown, great communication with owner, house is perfect. Only thing to note is you cannot walk to the beaches, however, there is an interurban bus that will take you everywhere for only 1!

Amazing place, amazing town, great hosts

Hilltop Cottage was perfect for our family! This is our third summer of renting a home in Saugatuck and we have found our forever home! You have a peaceful and lovely oasis to spend time with your family. Mornings on the screened in porch with coffee, listening to the birds, and watching the bunnies was the best way to start the day. Our granddaughters loved this home. They had the upstairs bedroom which looked out onto the treetops where they said it felt like a treefort. The family gathering spaces couldn’t have been more perfect! We were four adults and a 5 and 7 year old. The kitchen is fully stocked. We love to cook and found everything we needed. Evenings at the picnic table for dinner were lovely. You could watch the sunset and enjoy the evening sounds. Oval Beach days were made easy by all that is available in the shed from beach chairs to umbrellas to sand toys. The peace and quiet of Hilltop Cottage was lovely to return to each day. All of this and you are two blocks from town. There is a secret passage leading to the neighborhood from the Saugatuck playground.Truly the best of all worlds at Hilltop Cottage…serenity, comfort and all you need combined with a short walk to shops, restaurants, art museum and more. Kathy is a wonderful host! All of her thoughtful touches throughout the house made it feel like home. And, so sparkling clean! Kathy was available when we had any questions and it was a delight to meet her! We will be returning. Thank you Kathy!

Great location. Loved the screened in porch.

This restored historic house is in a perfect location--a short walk up the hill from all of the action. The house is well set up, including lots of amenities for young ones--books, blocks, etc. We loved the beach gear, with plenty of chairs, an umbrella with sand drill, and beach toys. Having both an enclosed sun porch and an open front porch was great!

A really ideal location, away from the business but a c short walk to city center, very enjoyable!

We had a great weekend here in Saugatuck! The house was beautiful and the location makes morning coffee walks by the lake as easy as can be. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful time celebrating our anniversary with our daughters and son-in-laws. House was perfect - clean and relaxing. Our host was super communicative. Enjoyed an afternoon sail, tasty dining, wonderful galleries, nice walks, and great porch conversations. Highly recommend this property as well as Saugatuck

We stayed here with our three children and had a great experience! The house was exceptionally clean and very spacious for the five of us. The two connecting family rooms made it easy for everyone to gather without feeling crowded but the kids could go use the loft space and upstairs bedroom when they wanted as well. Three full bathrooms was also a MAJOR plus! One minor suggestion would be to put a second TV upstairs but it wasn't that big of an issue since we were usually gone most of the day. The screened in porch is great for coffee in the morning and it was nice having a driveway to easily park and load/unload our luggage. The owners keep the house well stocked with everything we needed from trash bags and toilet paper to shampoo and soap, it felt very much like a hotel experience. They even had beach chairs and boogie boards in the shed we could use at Oval Beach. The location is fantastic. You can walk right down the block and be on Butler street in a few minutes but you are far enough away that the neighborhood is still quiet and separate from downtown. Anyone who's been to Saugatuck knows being able to walk right into downtown without having to worry about parking is a huge advantage. The owners were very easy to get a hold of and made our stay very easy. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in Saugatuck!

Can’t beat the location of this house. We felt right at home and appreciated Kathy letting us know about fireworks and the art fair in town.

The house on Main St was just what we needed for our 3 nights in Saugatuck. The house was the perfect size for 8 adults. Updates throughout the home made it obvious that the owners pay attention to detail. Added extras like k-cups, shampoo and body wash were greatly appreciated. One screened in porch and the front porch were an extension of the indoor living space. We had groceries delivered from both InstaCart and Walmart, so all we had to think about was having fun. Thank you to Kathy and Barry for providing an awesome place for us to make memories!
