Hillside Retreat on Lake Sylvia

We loved the location (just over an hour from the cities) & that we could bring our dogs. Being right on the water was awesome! Our 8 year olds had a lot of fun playing in the water close to the shore & our 11 year old had a blast using the kayak (it was his first time & he couldn’t get enough of it). It was nice being close to Annandale if we needed anything. The hostess was very nice & responsive when issues popped up (the diving raft lost a barrel & was repaired within 2 days & the grill ran out of gas & we had it replaced the same day). Over all a lovely get away to enjoy the summer.

Our stay at Lake Sylvia was so special. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything you'd need for time at the lake. The kitchen had new appliances and was fully stocked with spices, dishes, gadgets and a wide variety of pots, pans, etc... The beds were really comfortable, great pillows and extremely soft bedding. We enjoyed the sunset views and that the house was located on a quiet dead end road. The boys loved the kayaks, paddle board and raft. We would highly recommend this property. It can accommodate quite a few people but is also very comfortable for a small family. Lake Sylvia is one of the cleanest and clearest lakes around...don't miss your chance to experience it!

I love Lake Sylvia and this home met all the requirements for our family. I'm a senior citizen and could navigate the stairs easily. plenty of fun in the water most importantly the swimming was awesome kayaks to use as well as fishing gear, games, and plenty of areas to relax on the decks. Nice gas grill and fully stocked kitchen. If it worked for everyone I would definitely return!

Beautiful Lake Sylvia property, everything in perfect working order, updated decor, well furnished and owners were generous and helpful. Property manager allowed privacy but was immediately responsive when needed. I would stay here again.

Very relaxing long weekend with family and friends. Newly renovated cabin, located in a quiet bay. Angie was great!

This is a wonderful property that has many amenities to make your stay very comfortable. We celebrated my brother and sister-in-law’s retirement here. We shared many memories as this property was originally owned by my family many years ago.

Property was better than expected actually. The property was clean , updated , new or newer appliances . Beds were comfortable . I would highly recommend this property. The only challenge we had was the owners boat stuck out past the dock, so you have to be very careful to park a boat at the end of the dock. We had a 21 ft pontoon and a 18 foot ski type boat, which just fit along side the dock. i would not recommend anything larger if you bring your own boat, and no more that 1. Otherwise , great property and communication.

This house was so nicely done, recently remodeled and well appointed! We loved our stay here.

My family spent a week at this lake house and had an amazing time. House was very clean, host was very responsive, lake Sylvia is crystal clear and plenty of things to do. The house was fully equipped, there was nothing we needed that wasn’t already there. Owners and host even went out of their way to get a boat lift moved so we could fit our boat at their dock. We will definitely plan another trip here. Thank you!
