Hillside LKN - Lakefront - Priv Dock, Family Fun - Lake Norman Vacation Rental

Despite the cold weather we had a wonderful time at Hillside LKN for the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was well maintained and equipped with everything we needed. Check in was easy with good communication from the host. We hope to return in the summer time to enjoy time on the lake!

Our stay was amazing. Great communication with realtor. House is exactly as shown in pictures. Very clean. We had no complaints. Lots of great restaurants and stores within 10 minute drive. Loved being on the lake. It has a small sand beach area, which makes it easy to get in the water. We fished everyday. Caught lots of brim/blue gill. Neighbors are friendly. We took a few remote control boats, I recommend doing that if you have kids. Lots of fun.

Great property and we had a ton of fun on the beach. The house itself is laid out great and had plenty of room for us to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. The dock looked brand new, good for fishing, caught and released three huge catfish. I took off a star because we had some house issues. The faucet in the kitchen broke and the AC was off for a few hours. The faucet was fixed in a little over a day. The AC was a problem with the thermostat coming loose from the wall. Once pushed back on, was a-ok. Both issues were handled quickly and professionally. Sure things happen, but it was something I didn't want to deal with on vacation.

We love our week at this house! The house was set up perfectly for my in-laws, my husband and I and our two teen girls to have our own space. The kitchen is amazing to host family dinners. And we thoroughly enjoyed the sandy beach access to the lake. Even better was we could rent a boat and dock it right outside our home. Thanks for the amazing memories!

We had a pleasant stay

I stayed in this home with my three boys. It was so clean and more than enough space for us with comfortable beds, and a very well stocked kitchen with more than I expected! I normally bring my big pancake griddle when we rent a Vrbo but I didn’t this time and was so happy to see they had the exact same one in their kitchen! Perfect! The house is in a very convenient location close to everything on River Highway including a 7 minute drive to the local YMCA for the boys when they wanted a break from playing in the lake. When they went to the Y, I relaxed in the hammock out back for some peace and quiet… a mom’s dream! There is no shortage on places to shop and eat in this area as well. A great week at our favorite family vacation spot, Lake Norman!

We had a great time at this property. It worked well for our family of 9. We had our 2(adult children), their spouses and 3 grandchildren under the age of 9. The oldest grandchild loved the paddle boarding. There was plenty of room for all of us. Kitchen was a great set up for a large family. The bathtub/shower combo was a little small as was the shower stall in the master, but it was managable. It was nice having the beach right there for the grandkids to swim once the adults were done for the day. All in all we wiuld definitely stay again!

Our family had an amazing week. Our 6 year old learned how to kayak by herself. Thanks for some great memories.

Was very clean, comfy, and spacious. Has plenty of activities to do, we did a lot of fishing off the dock. Caught catfish, bass, and bluegill. We had issues entering the property, but luckily our house Katie was on the ball and solved our issue quickly. Only thing we noticed that was not provided was beach towels. But we brought our own so it was a non issue. We did have to purchase a lighter for the sparklers we did in the back yard. But if you wanted to do a fire you will need one (we did not use the fire pit). We did use the gas grill to cook hotdogs. Would highly recommend property to anyone. Beautiful home.
