Hillsdale Cottage-Great Location

My high school classmate, and college roommate, visited this property along with our wives. We enjoyed the secluded location, the view, and the close location to the Boxley Valley, Buffalo River and Ponca areas. The house was clean and very well equipped. We would stay here again.

Somewhat kid friendly

Great location for us. We kyaked the Buffalo National River. This is a beautiful area and great place to stay for our adventure. Kids loved it. Plenty of privacy.

This is a beautiful place--the cover image shows it all. The check-in and check-out process and procedures were extremely reasonable. The kitchen was very well stocked, which was a welcome change from the many other places that even lacked a can opener, for example. And its surrounded by bucolic (and quiet) cows! The only thing to mention is that if it's rainy and you're coming in a car, you might struggle to get exit via the very steep dirt road.

The property was easy to find for us as we had been in the area several times before. It was secluded with lots of great scenery to look at when outside. Plenty of space everywhere. Comfortable beds and sofas. very clean. Gas stove was a bit tricky since it has been many years since using one. Good storage, kitchen was nicely stocked. It was a perfect place for us to stay. Definitely will go back!! Rachel was easy to get in touch with. Thank you for allowing us to stay! Will definitely be back!

This was a great stay for a weekend getaway trip to a unwind in a quiet and beautiful setting. The owner has made a lot of improvements to create a clean, functional, well appointed country home while maintaining the integrity of the country setting that it is in. You can tell that they have given a lot of thought to providing touches of hospitality to make your stay more enjoyable. Great place, I would definitely come back here to visit! It is preferable to have a larger vehicle or even 4 wheel drive to get to the house.

The location was quiet and near plenty of hiking trails. Our kids loved the cows in the pasture outside. Great living space with everything we needed!

This place is so roomy! The kitchen has all you need and then some for all your cooking needs. Large living room with all windows and a great view. Fire pit was great too. Overall a wonderful stay. Would book this again for sure!!

Spacious property with lots of comfortable seating and beautiful views. The location is so quiet and peaceful with beautiful night skies. It provided a much needed escape from traffic and noise. Once we arrived we didn’t leave until checkout.
