Hillis House | Lakefront house in Arbor Vitae w/water toys & two kitchens

Dakota the area manager was very polite and helpful. The house itself has some maintenance issues, the biggest being the lack of water pressure and at one time a total lack of water, not filling toilets etc. There were a few other things that would make the home more up to par with other VRBOs we have stayed at. Clean the fireplace glass and rugs which looked dirty. Steps up to the house were icy and difficult for people in their 60-70s, salt and attention to that would have been safer and helpful. The code box itself had too long of a code and didn’t work well. We were afraid of being locked out at very cold temperatures. A four digit code is adequate, not 10 digits in ten seconds. Beds were not very comfortable, suggest that you invest in better mattresses (and pillows as one had a very bad stain on it).

We had a great visit. The accommodations were updated & clean; however, the beds were a bit hard. Also, the upstairs shower head dripped & had to be hung downward toward the drain.All-in-all, I would highly recommend this vacation home.

Very clean. Super attentive and responsive to any issues. Great little lake for fishing. Kids caught and released about 10 fish. Loved it. Swivel seats in living room great as is deck table and seating. Please just add a dishwasher! Otherwise great place.

My family and I loved the quiet location, view of the lake, and wildlife. The house was cozy, once we figured out the fireplace, and set up for great conversation with the multiple seating areas. We appreciated the house book that shared local favorite spots.

The cabin was the perfect getaway for our small family. The lake was great for swimming and a little fishing, and the overall location was great. The cabin was clean and of good quality. We’ll be back!

The house needs some improvement definitely, something like, new blinds for the windows in the kitchens (really dirty from dusting),not working the celling fan in the livingroom, downstairs stairs bathroom not working the shower lighting, outdoor table is very dirty (it's green)nobody cleans from the fall I guess..but overall it's decent place.

The house was great. Clean, lake was wonderful. Woodruff is a hreat town to visit and enjoy! Check in and check out- was very easy!

Nice house at the very small lake,but needs some improvement, blinds in the kitchens needs to be change (are super dirty )blinds for back door patios are not functional to make private in the night,fan not works, downstairs bathroom the shower lighting not works, outdoor table and balcony needed to be clean ,you can't eat outside (it's green from dirty water and dusting )but overall it's Okay.

We truly enjoyed our visit. House was very comfortable and clean. Perfect for us. We enjoyed the fishing and using the row boat. We will definitely want to come back.

We stayed at Hillis House for our spring break. Great place to spend time outside and a cozy home to enjoy sitting by the fire. Loved it and would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed the property very much, especially being on the lake. Caught a lot of fish, everybody was very happy! We had great weather and scenery with the beautiful fall colors! The house was cozy, great get away!!

We had a group of 9 stay here for a few days and it was a wonderful experience! The house was clean and had way more than enough space for our group. The kids loved the games provided and we had a lovey fire with the wood onsite. The small lake had a beautiful view of the fall colors. The whole area was super pretty and quiet with plenty of privacy. My brother caught a huge large mouth bass off the pier and the patio had plenty of space to hang outside. This house is close to downtown Minocqua and had tons of food options. We would definitely stay here again!

The lake view. The fishing. The location. Just amazing all around. Minor things that couldn’t keep my family from enjoying it all!

House was very clean, great location and very comfortable. Can't wait to return next year with our family!
