Randolph, New Hampshire
The greatest network of hiking trails in New England, from the very easy to the very difficult, virtually at your doorstep!! Ours is a secluded, private three-bedroom cape with a spectacular view of the Northern Presidential Range, in the northern White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Randolph is a small town with a unique history. Back in the grand hotel era of the late 1800’s, the guests in Randolph were hikers and trail builders, often academics and clergymen, and some of the cottages in town are still owned by their descendants.
We are minutes from Pinkham Notch, and a half hour from North Conway to the south, Sunday River and Bethel to the east, and Franconia Notch to the southwest. Santa’s Village is a 15 minute drive to the west. The town swimming hole is two minutes away. The Mount Jericho State Park ATV facility is only several miles away, and ATV’s are street legal in Gorham (not in Randolph). Moose Brook State Park and Great Glen in Pinkham Notch Are very close with trails for mountain biking, and the Presidential Rail Trail passes through Randolph. We have a notebook at our cabin with suggestions for hiking, mountain biking, ATVing, restaurants, etc.
We welcome our guests to our cabin, and we expect them to treat it as their home also, and not a motel room.
We have recently decided that we have to charge $10 extra per night for guests with dogs. We ask that the dogs stay downstairs and not be allowed on the beds.
Accommodates 4-6 : the twin beds are trundles.
I recommend this place. It was really good!
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location
Was a great little cabin with beautiful views, just a quick trip for us but worked out
This was a very lovely experience. The cabin was nice and had beautiful views. Very close to hiking trails and that is why we were there. Had a great time!
We had a wonderful stay here. My friend and I were hiking the white mountains and Mr. Persons have so much great advice. Easy check in and out process. The place was clean and the view was spectacular. Loved our stay!
The cabin was comfortable and in a great location for hiking and viewing the fall leaves
Easy, straightforward process for check in. It was secluded which we were looking for, the house is cozy and comfortable and the view from the backyard is amazing!! Beautiful area as well with stores and necessities not far away. Really loved this home and enjoyed our stay!
We loved our time in Randolph!
Great place to stay clean and comfortable and beautiful views.
Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Mountain view from the back porch is the perfect place to start your morning with a coffee! Host is super helpful, even leaving a binder of things to do and places to eat in the area! I can not say enough good things about this cottage and area.... it is perfect!
Traveling through with family, and we arrived relatively late in the evening. The home was clean and exceptionally cozy. We really appreciated the thorough instructions/recommendations left by the property owner! Would recommend this stay to anyone passing through.
This was a great house! We only needed to stay one night this time, but would definitely stay longer. Comfortable and clean. In a secluded area. Plenty of space to walk the dogs. But close enough to Gorham to go the restaurants, stores, etc without a problem.
This was a relaxing vacation. I was pleased with the setting, the bed was comfy and the view was just what I needed to unwind. This place exceeded my expectations.
Housed my relatives here for a wedding in Randolph. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a short stay - they loved it. Truly a hiker heaven. What a great location and an even better view.
We enjoyed our quick stay in the mountains and appreciated all of John's recommendations for activities with the kids. The house was comfortable and the perfect size for a family of 4 with a dog. Thanks for making it easy to get away!
We had a really nice visit. The beds are so comfortable. It’s a peaceful place. Nice pots & pans to cook with. Good trails nearby. The host was very responsive and helpful!!! So many wildflowers – foxgloves and lupines, oh my!
It was private with a gorgeous view, just right for us
We had an incredible time at this cabin! We were all around nature during peak foliage, and the cabin was so comfy. Although due to injuries we couldn’t hike, it was clear how easy it could’ve been to go hiking. We went to both North Conway and Lincoln, and even though both towns were about an hour away, the beauty around us and the amazing cabin made the long rides worth it. We hope to rent this cabin again in the future when we can go hiking!!!
Lovely location, beautiful views, very peaceful. Clean and comfortable.
This home is cozy and comfortable with plenty of privacy. The owners supplied great information on the area, restaurants, and hiking. There was a slight glitch with the cleaning but the owners were responsive when I contacted them about it. Nice getaway!
We absolutely loved this place! We will definitely stay here again.
With a knock-out view of Mt Washington, set amid a serene forest setting, this is an ideal location to stay and enjoy the great outdoors.
really great place to stay. everything was just as described and owner was really good at communicating. thanks to a neighbor down the road (Tom)for some good advice and loan of some Tennis Rackets! great views of course and hope to be back!
Three family members, one grandchild and I stayed comfortably at the house with plenty of sleeping space and a cabin-style kitchen. The view of Mt Madison and Adams is wonderful.
Cozy, clean linens, great views, kitchen was perfect for cooking some meals, we enjoyed the library and guest binder of recommendations.
Clean, quiet cabin. Perfect for our 2 night stay for a trip to Santa’s Village. Beautiful view
The home was clean, and well organized. Very private, cozy, small cottage. Perfect location for any outdoor activity in the area.
Quiet, comfortable home. Beautiful views and perfect for my kids, dog and me. I wish it was hurt a little closer to North Conway. But, the rental itself was excellent.
Cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with all sorts of food and hiking-appropriate snacks.
Awesome location for hiking. My wife and I just went for a quick overnight trip with our 2 dogs and could not have asked for a better location. It was nice to sit on the deck with a beverage and a view of Mt Madison. We'll definitely be back!
Have stayed at John place before. Quaint and quiet :).
