    Kitchen well thought out, stocked and labeled for ease of use. Appreciate the hot tub and game room amenities. The boot and glove dryer was top notch in getting gear ready for the next day skiing.

    Absolutely loved our stay at the Hideaway home. There were board games, beach chairs, extra towels, etc. I was not expecting the accommodations and was pleasantly surprised. There was more than enough room for my family of 8. My kids enjoyed the game room very much.

    This home is gorgeous and has an awesome location. My family stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend. The hosts were so helpful! There was a potential snow storm in the forecast during the time that we would be arriving to the house and our hosts kindly suggested safe travel times and walked us through what to expect during our drive from Sacramento. We were unfamiliar with the ski options in the area so hosts provided detailed info on the resorts and what would be best for our family. We enjoyed the fireplace in the living room and the large dining room table. We cooked meals almost every night and had a full Thanksgiving dinner during our stay. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The beds in all the rooms were comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillow & blankets if needed. We had (3) teenage boys in our group that loved the game room. Overall this home is gorgeous and SO comfortable. I would certainly stay here if fortunate enough to visit Tahoe again.

    First of all, the location is amazingly beautiful and serene. Peacefully secluded yet close to restaurants, beach, grocery store – even a farmer's market (seasonal)! This is one of the most thought-out places that I have ever rented and I cannot wait to return. The owners have remembered every detail from nicely appointed appliances to every small kitchen gadget you could ever want, to flipping the switch to fire up the gas stove and powered window shades in the great room. No need to bring your own spices – the owners have seasoned their gourmet kitchen for scrumptious meal prep. The beds are very comfy and there are lots of them! Plenty of room for everyone, even the dog. The dining table is exquisite – big and woodsy – great place to eat or play provided games. Look at the lighting, the full-house sound system - all the details are checked. There is a state park with walking/bicycle trails at the end of the street, perfect for an afternoon nature stroll. Although us 70-year-olds did not ride, the owner provides bikes & helmets for renters. Hideaway in the Highlands is the ultimate getaway whether you are lake folks or skiers or just looking for a beautiful nature spot to enjoy the stars. Don't miss out on this one!
