Highland Comfort - Private Peaceful Retreat

Incredible place for an incredible staycation. The two page guide by the door with the location of everything we could ever want (cleaning supplies, coffee, tums) was a step beyond. Would love to stay at this property again

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this property. The beds are very comfortable and the house is very clean. In a quiet neighborhood but located pretty near everywhere we want to go. We will probably stay there again next year.

The house was perfect for people traveling with children. There is a huge fenced in back yard with lots of toys. There is a fire pit area that the children roasted marshmallows in. There was plenty of room and space for everyone. The house is very clean and had anything you would need. I highly recommend it.

Everything we needed and then some was provided!

We were in town with a teenage family member in the ICU at the UNC Children's Hospital. This home was the perfect answer to allow for rest, family meetings, meals, and everything we needed to make it through a difficult situation. The owner was very responsive and understanding of our needs. It is a mile off the beaten path, but this turned out be a blessing with the quiet neighborhood in a cul-de-sac. It was also very convenient to the hospital, shopping, and the basic needs of our group. Highland Comfort has a great layout that gives everyone some privacy when they need it, plus plenty of spaces to gather. It was clean and comfortable with all the modern conveniences. We hope to return under better circumstances.

Enjoyed our stay, comfortable beds and fire pit

The house was perfect for our stay, with a fenced in backyard, excellent beds and a well equipped kitchen. Also, it is close to Chapel Hill for sports events.

The house was just perfect for my family. We had a family wedding and this house was just perfect to get away for it all the craziness and just relax. The dog in the yard behind us was barking a lot but after a while the dog got use to us and stopped barking.

The location was conveniently located near our family in a quiet residential area.

Very clean and well equipped. The hosts had coffee ready for brewing and extra things in the refrigerator. The house was certainly spacious for our family gathering.

Great space near the lake! The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group of friends. Thank you for letting us stay!

The property was generally nice and as described.Our only issues is that there were ants in the kitchen when we arrived, some of the provided snacks were over a year expired, and that the owners had people over in the backyard working on the shed during our stay (and windows without blinds in the bathroom/shower the workers could see into).But the experience was otherwise pleasant and suited our needs.

We stayed 2 nights and had a great time visiting family in the Southern Village area. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood with a large yard and huge trees. It was a perfect place to stay with 5 adults and 2 young children since there are 4 bedrooms. The house was well maintained and clean and there were some toys for the young kids to play with. It was incredibly hot and humid in NC, but the AC was able to keep the house cool which was a huge plus. We would definitely stay here again. As a side note, Anna was also gracious enough to mail us some electronics that we accidentally left at the house.

Host was very responsive throughout the booking process and to the couple of questions we had upon checkin. Quiet location which was perfect for us and our dog, and only 20 minutes to graduation events at UNC Chapel Hill.

We were in CH son’s wedding at a nearby venue. Perfect location from the venue. Quiet, wooded neighborhood you can walk in if want. The house had plenty of room to have family in and still able to have some privacy. The home was clean and beds comfortable, well equipped for our needs. We had adult children only, but would be great for families with young kids too. Highly recommend unless someone has trouble negotiating stairs as all bedrooms are on second floor and stairs are rather steep. We enjoyed our time here!

House is very quaint and enjoyed the size of property.Owner very responsive and even came over at night to help with issue .Kitchen is nice, just not as many pots and pans as hoped but we made due.Thanks

Thank you for sharing your home with us Anna. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The house is situated in a beautiful wooded and quiet area. There are plenty of bedrooms for adults so everyone could have a comfortable night sleep. Everything was clean and welcoming. When we arrived. I would recommend staying here to anyone traveling in the area.

I had four adult children and their 1 come to town from all across the US to be together for a magical graduation AND Christmas get together.. this would not have as comfortable or easy without Ana’s beautiful spacious house! The accommodations were plenty for all 6 of us and Ana was very responsive to my requests prior to our stay. We loved ved the added holiday touches. And the Carolina Blue door! Thank you Ana for opening your home to our family

Our family with 2 young kinds stayed here for 3 weeks while waiting for our new house to be ready for move-in and it was a lovely stay! It's a very nice, friendly neighborhood and the house is on a quiet cul-de-sac. We were here over Halloween and our kids even got to meet other kids trick-or-treating. The house had everything we needed, even toys, an outdoor play area and sandbox, kids utensils and a booster seat. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, and even came by quickly we needed their help with something. Would definitely recommend!

Anna was very responsive during the course of our reservation as well as stay. The house was well stocked with whatever you'd need such as coffee, coffee filters, sugar and even some refrigerated condiments just to name some. The beds were comfortable with soft sheets. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
