The location is wonderful, just on the lake and 5 min from a grocery store! The house is lovely, very open floor plan on the main level but still somewhere to get away with large groups in downstairs living room.

Our whole family - our three sons, their spouses and children - spent a spectacular week together at Hideaway Ridge on Smith Mountain Lake. The home, setting, facilities, and location enabled us to spend lots of time together while also providing spaces for children to play separately from adults visiting. The management team is responsive and delightful. A great place for a family vacation.

The house itself is great. Plenty of space and everyone can spread out. The paddle boards were loved by the teenagers. Location is convenient to everything. House keeping and basic necessities need looked over. Reading the listing beforehand I know that I need to bring shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I never thought that we would spend over 400 a night drive 8 hours and show up and there be no toilet paper or hand soap. These are basic items that are offered at literally every other place I’ve stayed since 2005. Ceiling fans need dusted, especially the downstairs master. There was a dirty diaper in the trash can under the sink. Receipts under the couch and q tip under a bed. Owners- beautiful house, look into better house keeping or your ratings are going to fall.

This house was perfect for 10 adults and 12 children. The heated pool was the biggest hit and the extended shallow end was great for the youngest ones. There are 2 paddle boards (but bring your own life jackets) for paddling down the cove. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and there was plenty of seating for everyone. The only reason I didn't give the check in process 5 stars was a bit of confusion over the address of the house, but everything was settled quickly and the problem has been corrected. The owners were available immediately to straighten it out. We have absolutely nothing negative to say about this house and we'll enjoy our memories for a long time.

This house was amazing for our family! We loved the property and the amenities this house offered! The salt water pool was so relaxing and hot tub was great to relax in at the end of the night. Extremely relaxing weekend. Would definitely book again!

Agree with beautiful house, great location to food store, gas station and all amenities. However, major construction still happening. We couldn’t post a review without mentioning all the construction noise. Felt it would be deceitful. Trees being cut down to our right, saws, nail guns for roof on a house to our left, concrete trucks, logging trucks, back up beeping constant. Reached out to owner, received apology and tried to be accommodating. However, told construction would resume. No covered dock as in printed description. Narrow cove, could not put lake mat out or neighbor next door would not get boat passed. The pictures of place have been updated to show it as a cliff dweller, lots of stairs down. We did enjoy our family and friends and the accommodations the house provided; hot tub, pool and being close to marina. This was our second time renting from host and as stated tried to be accommodating, very responsive.

This new house is beautiful. The pool and hot tub were great. We were very disappointed that there wasn’t a pool table. It was listed in the description of the house, yet wasn’t there. That had been a significant factor in my decision making. But the family spent hours playing corn hole. And we all had a good time. At present there is no grass despite the green lawn in the photo.

The house and pool are beautiful! The host was very helpful and responded quickly with questions. We would love to stay here again!

The property was clean and well furnished inside - however the company owners have 3 unfinished projects on this street - so machinery moving dirt around every day during the week- left a layer of dust on everything on the outside of our house - chairs, tables, decks, etc, Along with the noise of construction machinery moving dirt and rocks. , Then on a couple of days - fires were built to burn appliance boxes and building debris in the yard of the house next to us - making it unpleasant to breath outside and sending ash and debris into our pool. I notified the manager of a leak under a bathroom sink and that the oars for paddle boards were missing. I received a reply that a plumber would be sent over and that the oars would be replaced - but that did not happen during the 9 days we were there. I know this is a new property- but I really think renting any of the houses prior to the completion of outside construction and landscaping is not conducive to a quiet, relaxing vacation in this lake home.

Mike is always a great host; this year did not disappoint. House is fabulous.
