Stayed Mar 2, 2023Awesome property! Peaceful, quiet and rural but only a short drive and minutes from the plaza, skiing and other natural attractions. A car here is recommended unless you plan to stay only at the cabin, which you could beacause there is plenty of hiking right out the back door! The house is beautiful and perfrectly appointed and equiped with everything you would need. The hosts are super-friendly, quick responders if you have questions and available if you need anything but otherwise you have complete privacy. This is the best vacation rental we have stayed at and it really gave us a taste of local Santa Fe life!! Definitely we will be back!

Stayed Oct 16, 2025The pictures truly don't do this property justice! This little piece of heaven is so comfortable, cozy, and peaceful. My friend and I really enjoyed each having our own bed and bathroom for privacy at the end of the day. It's close enough to everything to not be a pain to get to places but also far enough out to be so quiet and tranquil. One morning, we were greeted by the horses--what a special treat! We will definitely stay here again!

Stayed Aug 1, 2025A cozy environment and quiet peaceful feeling of isolation but only a short drive to downtown. Perfection. So peaceful. Very clean house and such inviting relaxation on the two patios. Loved it. Going back when I come to Santa Fe.

Stayed Jul 8, 2025As charming and inviting as this casita looks in the photo, it is even more charming and inviting in person. My crew and I have been coming here for several years, and we hope to come for several more!

Stayed May 28, 2025This was my 4th and my husband’s 3rd time to stay at this lovely gem of a home. We love the quiet this property offers and how many forms of wildlife one can see each day. There is great hiking right out the back door. The house is very clean and has everything you need to cook full meals. Two patios for stargazing and sunrise and sunsets. The beds are comfy and the linens are scrumptious. Both rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well/appointrd. The art and decor are original, New Mexico-themed and make your stay feel like home. Very close to El Nido and Tesuque Village Market and a 12 minute drive into Santa Fe. The hosts are also amazing. We will be back!

Stayed May 1, 2025The title of this property is 100% accurate – Porter Place is one of the best “hidden gems” we found on our trip to Santa Fe. Do NOT be wondering or worried about what seems to be a remote location. This lovely home has everything to recommend it. Beautifully decorated with original art. Well stocked kitchen and pantry. Two roomy bedrooms with comfortable beds and storage for all. Peace and quiet and yet, a quick ride puts you in the heart of the city within 12-minute drive. Best of all, the help and responsiveness of the host. April was in constant contact with us and always at the ready to answer a question, “run over” with a needed supply and/or provide a recommendation. This was so appreciated especially since a series of minor bumps (delivery of needed medical supplies and an unexpected power outage) saved the day and the trip for all. Cannot recommend this lovely home highly enough. Given everything Santa Fe has to offer (and there is a LOT to experience) we will be back!

Stayed Dec 19, 2024This beautiful home was perfect for our stay in the Santa Fe area. Tesuque Village is lovely and this little house provided the peace and quiet we'd hoped for. The house itself is well appointed, with very comfortable beds and any item you may need for a stay. The host was very responsive and helpful! While there, I was able to enjoy a hike around the property. Beautifully maintained and truly relaxing. Thank you to the Porter Place (April and Pat). We will most definitely be back soon!

Stayed Oct 27, 2024We enjoyed everything about our stay and hope to return before long. The house was charming, comfortable, very clean, and stocked with everything we needed. I'd looked forward to peace and beautiful views from the patio spaces and was not disappointed! The location is convenient to Santa Fe shopping and museums, hiking, as well as attractions just beyond the city. Our hosts were thoughtful and welcoming... Five star recommendation!

Stayed Aug 10, 2024The owners have attended every teeny detail in this piece of paradise. From the moment we exited the car, we were enthralled. Colorful, fragrant flowers and the beautiful surrounding environment greeted us before we entered the charming house. Although the house is perfect, comfortable, inviting, the patios beckoned. Nature surrounds this little gem. We loved watching the hummingbirds feeding on the variety of flowers, spotting an occasional jackrabbit, and visiting with their friendly horses who checked on us each day. I wish I were there now!
