Our host waa so lovely and caring. We stayed during a bad storm and she checked in on us to make sure we were okay and went above and beyond to keep us comfortable. The place itself was clean, well kept and nice and spacious in a beautiful area.

We decided to do a little road trip to celebrate my daughter’s 21st. We wanted a pooch-friendly landing pad to explore the area and were delighted with our stay at the Herons Hangout! Everything we needed was there, the hosts went above and beyond to help us when we had questions and we felt really fortunate to have stayed here!

Great rural location a few minutes out of Cooks Beach. Very peaceful and loved sitting on the deck listening to the birds. Tracey recommended a few things to do during our stay, which was appreciated. A wonderful stay.

We stayed 4 nights. We had issues with our car, the hosts were great helping us to find a place to get our car fob up and running. Cooks beach is beautiful for just relaxing.

Had an enjoyable stay.at Cooks Beach. Only a suggestion.I would remove the bulbs from the light over the bed,Room to bright and have two bed side lights

A small suite, but comfortable and the host was lovely and attentive.

Great location off the main road on small farm with great views. Propery was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Good base of operations for trvels to cooks beach, Haihei beach, Macedonia Nutt Orchard and Hot Water beach. Tracy was very nice and spoke to us when we arrived. She gave good advice on what to see on the area. Wish we could have stayed longer. The wine and liquor tasting she recommended was quite a unique experience with our host Danny at the helm. Lots of local history and many curiositties about tthe establishment.

Great to get away and loved the peaceful place, with cows and birdsong. Meet by Tracey, which was nice, but left alone to enjoy our stay which we did. Thanks

Private, accommodating, friendly and peaceful

Great little place to stay. Nice and peaceful. Short drive to beach and shops. Great hosts. Great that we could take our dog with us.

Lovely and peaceful away from all the holidaymakers. Perfect for our needs

We had an excellent 2 night stay at the Herons Hangout. The owners are very friendly and it was very nice that we could have our dog with us. The one thing that would make it better, is if there was a second bedside light. The fluorescent lighting is too harsh, when wanting to read in bed, and one bedside light is not enough to read by.

Perfect weather until the day we were on our way home. Great spot for getting away. Fun little ferry ride to Whitianga. Beautiful beaches and walks through bush with cliff-top views. Carole & Deane
