Stayed Jan 20, 2026Small things would have made it a bit better. The bedroom pillows are quite thin. Fortunately, I brought my own. I appreciated that some premium channels were available, but the main TV is quite small, especially with prices for larger TVs now quite reasonable.

Stayed Sep 20, 2025Interior was clean. Some evidence of Helene still there. Didn't know the dock was gone. It's a nice location. Very quiet and relaxing. I understand that a lot of owners are still trying to get things back the way they were before Helene. Place still needs a little TLC.

Stayed Jun 19, 2025Property was great considering the recent hurricanes. Definitely still some external damage...and a colony of bats had taken up residence in a couple of external walls. But overall the place was great, and the view was spectacular.

Stayed Jun 14, 2025The property was gorgeous. Even though the dock is temporarily out of order, the view of the golf is priceless.

Stayed Dec 21, 2024We didn't stay at this location. We were switched to a different place due to issues with the witing. New location was great and we got an upgrade for the same price. All worked out well.

Stayed Jun 9, 2024The house itself is situated in a peaceful quiet gated community with ice cold AC and clean interior. I did extensive research on Cedar Key before booking, it is a laid back small town. If you are looking for a party town or amusement parks, this area is not for you. The primary reason I picked this are was to kayak fish with my son, and I was not disapointed with the fishing. My only complaint is that the listing stated you can launch kayaks from the dock that is behind the home, this is partially true. If you have a tiny “walmart” sun dolphin type kayak you probably can. We have fising kayaks which are larger, and even at high tide it was impossible to launch them from there. We had to drive them into town to launch. Other than that if you are looking to just relax, fish and take in striking sunsets this is a good bet. If you like to fish, we caught reds and speckled trout on a daily basis as well as some tarpon and sharks. (Bring or rent a golf cart) BB

Stayed Jun 2, 2024This was a very large home, very spacious. There were a few minor issues for us, maybe not for others: The direct tv was out There was a opening in the back door allowing the many bugs to get inside. I woke up with several bites. The beds are small. My husband and I had to sleep in seperate rooms.

Stayed May 18, 2024We are frequent visitors to Cedar Key but this was our first time staying at Heron Lane. The location secluded yet still an easy golf cart ride to Dock Street. House has lots of windows to enjoy the beautiful view. We hope to return soon.
