Stayed Mar 11, 2024Unfortunately there are a few things about this rental that made it less than ideal. Initially, I messaged the host via VRBO and then on the number provided with a couple questions, but only got back generic (the right person will get back to you) messages, never got a real message back at all. The rental unit itself had several issues, the couch was stained and dirty, there were multiple nails sticking up on the deck floorboards and railings. The deck itself was in pretty rough shape as well. There were 2 different spots in the walls of the house itself were light was showing through into the house. The multiple window units were a pain to keep running/extremely loud when running. This was with mild weather outside. Outdoor shower worked, but only hot water. Too hot to use and for some reason caused something to leak above on the deck so we made sure not to use it. There were screws (from recent repairs maybe) left on the ground and concrete under the house. There is a fence for dogs, but there are plenty of gaps dogs can get out. There is a fishing pier, pool, etc in the community but I did not see where any keys or access to these things were provided. The proximity to the beach and the area the house is in is nice, but for having small children this house had too many issues to be able to relax. Many of these issues should have been addressed prior to having paying guests..
