Hello Sunshine at The Lookout at Lake Chelan

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was disappointed with this stay at The Lookout. My family has been coming here for the past two years and we’ve always looked forward to our trips, but this time I left feeling let down.I’ll take responsibility for the view. I didn’t realize the water view only shows in the winter when the trees are bare. That one’s on me for not noticing in the photos.The real issues were with the condition and upkeep of the house. The most concerning was the blood on the stairs leading from the hot tub up to the house. It looked like someone had cut themselves and it was never cleaned. The hot tub itself wasn’t fully cleaned either. Inside, the house just felt neglected. The kitchen needed a serious deep clean — every mug had chips, and the surfaces and appliances didn’t feel fresh. The bedroom carpets were stained and needed a scrubbing. One of the bathroom lights wasn’t working.The back deck was also disappointing. The furniture was dirty, the area hadn’t been cleaned, and the fireplace was broken, which made it feel like a space we couldn’t even use. Overall, it just didn’t feel welcoming or maintained.Beyond the house, even the amenities weren’t up to the usual standard. When we went down to the beach, the stench was overwhelming. Staff told us it was from a dead fish in the marina. When we asked if anything was going to be done, we were told it wasn’t their job. I get that most of the staff are high school or college kids, but they should have at least called a supervisor to figure out a solution for guests.Altogether, this stay fell well below the standard we’ve come to expect at The Lookout.

Reviewer Comments: The back patio had several boards damaged and sitting on the deck, the house has very strange and concerning art work in it, made it feel more like a social experiment than a nice lake house. We rent in the Lookout 12 times per year, I would never come back to this house, all the others have been amazing.

Loved the privacy of the spacious outdoor deck. Light filled and beautiful living space.

House and location were ideal for our families needs, to include the boat dock at the marina.
