Colonial Park Cemetery is a beautifully restored piece of Savannah's past and it remains the final place of rest formany of the city's earliest inhabitants. It was established in 1750 and began as the Christ Church Parish burial ground. In 1789, it was expanded to include people from any denomination. Among some of the people buried in the cemetery are one of the Declaration of Independence signers, as well as the first President of Georgia and many others.

The cemetery is located on Abercorn and Oglethorpe and if you stay at one of Southern Belle's Savannah vacation homes, it will be right outside your door. The Oglethorpe Manor Main is one of our vacation rentals Savannah GA overlooking this cemetery on Oglethorpe Avenue. It has room for up to 12 guests and four bedrooms with four and a half bathrooms. Our Savannah vacation rentals always offer excellent amenities with well-designed interiors, wireless internet access, flatscreen TVs, full kitchens and more. Our Savannah vacation homes also occupy some of the best locations in the city, with walking access to many of the city's most popular attractions.

Guests are often amazed at how luxurious and beautiful the interiors of our vacation rentals Savannah GA are and this one is no exception. Just outside this room is the dining room where you'll find a table for six and easy kitchen access. The full kitchen has everything you need to prepare some great meals at home during your stay. It has a dishwasher, big double sinks, a full-size range and oven, plus a refrigerator and lots of prep area on the counters. The bedrooms in our Savannah vacation rentals are so comfortable that you may not want to leave! Lots of space to move around, a flatscreen for watching your favorite shows, comfortable beds and bathrooms immediately nearby.

Not only do you have the aforementioned Colonial Park Cemetery right outside your door, but several of Savannah's historic squares are within easy walking distance as well. Wright Square, Oglethorpe Square, Columbia Square and Chippewa Square are all nearby. To the north, you will run across the Davenport House Museum and Owens-Thomas House. If you head a bit to the west, you'll find the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace, plus the Savannah Theatre and the Bakerton Weathers House. Outstanding location and great space for our group. Loved that there was a bathroom for each bedroom and the house was very charming. Downside is that there are several maintenance issues that should be addressed. For example, stairway to third floor is severely tilted and the handrail is broken, door knob on front door, etc.

The rooms were great size and all the bedrooms had individual bathrooms! The location was very pet friendly and had a great yard space for the dogs!

Nice location, but incredibly bare-bones stay. Absolutely no amenities included (no body wash is absurd). Management makes an effort, which is appreciated.

Amazing location in Savannah. Able to walk to all the top sites. The property was clean, beautifully apppointed and in a wonderful, safe neighborhood. The property manager was very responsive to any and all questions. The only real negative was the beds. They weren’t great to be honest. The queen beds are like college dorm mattresses. One of the king beds was softer and more comfortable but the rest needed a mattress topper or new mattresses. I like a firm mattress but these were rough. Even with that, it is still a 5 star stay because the location and home is just amazing. Would highly recommend.

Our group of 6 college friends came from all over the country. Beds were clean & comfortable. AC worked well, internet was good. Furnishings were pretty worn, stair railing to 3rd floor needs stabilizing, elevator was not usable, back stairs are fairly tricky for anyone w mobility issues. Strong odor at the back door. We kept the dehumidifiers running 24/7. Would have loved to have two little soaps per bathroom but we made it work & had a good time.

Our group of 8 stayed for four nightsThe Good: Communication with the host was excellent. They sent multiple emails and texts before our arrival date with clear info for how to find and enter the property. Location is perfect for exploring Savannah— walkable to just about anywhere and near bus stops. The parking spot in the alley behind is handy and (just barely) fit our 15-passenger van. Spacious home, comfortable enough beds, and air-temp was just right. The Bad: As others have mentioned, the stairs are creeky and also slanted, due to the age of the building. There are three flights inside, so I wouldn’t recommend this place for families with tiny children or people who have mobility issues. Things like hand towels in the powder bath, a TP roll holder in one of the master baths, and extra towels for dishes were not provided. There is no window covering over the doors where the elevator is for two bedrooms, which allows light in and also isn’t very private. One rug someone had mentioned tripping on is still sticking up and caused tripping for us, and one of the privacy glass panes from the bathroom door is still missing, as mentioned in a previous review. Also, the chairs and sofa are super worn out and ought to be replaced. Beds were okay, but the pillows weren’t very comfy. The Ugly: there is black mold in the kitchen cabinet beneath the sink. There was a swarm of bees in the top floor master bedroom upon our arrival. We did alert the host, and they were trying to arra

This property was perfect for my bachelorette weekend. All 11 of us had a bed to sleep in (no pull out couches or air mattresses needed) and each room had so much space! The location cannot be beat, it is right in the center of everything-- half way between River Street and Forsyth Park and 2 blocks away from Collins Quarter. The shower in the master bedroom on the 2nd floor is not super intuitive, but you have to pull the handle out and then spin to the desired temperature. It was a great stay overall!

This charming house was the perfect place for my friends and I to relax and enjoy Savannah. The house was very spacious and comfortable. It has an elevator but there are many stairs so be aware if you have mobility issues. The location was perfect, and everything was within walking distance. It is across the street from a graveyard that locals treat like a park and use it for walking and exercising their dogs. A nice historical property that bears its age well.

Our stay was good overall. The location was ideal and in the middle of all the great restaurants but still walking distance to the river. Communication was great and quick. We were not able to use the elevator since it was not functioning upon arrival, but they did over to fix it. Our stay wasn’t long enough to really bother with it. So we just dealt with the inconvenience. House was not as clean and a bit run down. The floors creaked a lot and walking up and down the stairs to heat up milk for the baby sucked, especially since the elevator lead straight into the bedroom. Not the most suitable for a family traveling with a newborn and dog.

Location great. House is large and functional, but worn. High ceilings mean steep staircases. Railings dangerously wobbly. Elevator not working on arrival.Management did get it fixed end of next day. Glass pane missing in bathroom door to fire escape. Not repaired during stay. Outdoor front lighting poor. Kitchen amenities basic.A few trip hazards with rugs. Needs maintenance. Perhaps owner needs to visit.

Our stay was great! A group of 9 of us stayed comfortably all weekend. The rooms were spacious, as were the beds, so no one felt cramped sharing. All the bathrooms seemed to work well too. The 3 floors were a lot of climbing with our big suitcases, so maybe wouldn’t be too suitable for older guests but we did fine. The location was great, we walked absolutely everywhere with ease. We would absolutely stay again, thank you!

The property is great with minor issues. Doors were almost impossible to open into the house with continuous rain. Became way too tight. Can't be helped, there was A lot of rain. A few blinds need to be replaced, an easy fix! In one top bedroom, 4 nails are sticking up out of the wood (we didn't have a hammer). In the same bedroom, the carpet needs to be fixed down, its permanently raised in one corner. Grandaughter (teen) fell leaving the bathroom. A great location and an enjoyable family time. Lots of room.

The house is located amid beautiful historical houses and lush scenery. Great place to walk around and shop local businesses. Quiet and serene. Loved Tybee Island especially the beaches. The weather was warmer than what we're used to but the house was nice and cool. Plenty of space for 5 adults and 3 teenagers. The stairs were a bit of a challenge but we made it. We all loved it and the atmosphere. Would love to come back and see more. Definitely worth it!
