One of our roomiest Tybee Island vacation homes is the General George Marshall property on the North End of Tybee between Pulaski Street and General George Marshall Boulevard. This property boasts five bedrooms, including one king bedroom, one queen bedroom, a bedroom with 2 twin beds, a bedroom with a queen and a twin bedroom, and another bedroom with bunk beds, and three full bathrooms, with one of them being a master. It has sleeping arrangements available for up to nine guests, so it's a great option for Tybee vacation rentals when you're bringing the whole family or even if you have two families vacationing together. This home also features a private pool, perfect for cooling off after a day at the beach or relaxing with family under the island sun. During cooler months, the pool is heated for added comfort. The rest of the property includes a large porch area, a living room, a den, and a gourmet kitchen. Step into the refreshing, light, and bright surroundings of this property and enjoy wood floors contrasted with white walls and cabinets. The full-size gourmet kitchen is outfitted with stainless steel appliances, including a microwave and toaster oven. There's plenty of counter space to work, and adjacent is the casual dining room and a door to the balcony. Through the arch from the dining room, you'll find an expansive living room with a large area rug, places to sit, and a big window to let in lots of sun. A formal dining room is also available off the kitchen with seating for eight and a gorgeous chandelier above. Another small table with seating for three is located near a wet bar and the staircase. The bedrooms continue the light and airy theme, and all are appointed with comfortable linens and blankets. You'll find standing showers and bathtubs available in the bathrooms. The outside lounging area is a relaxing tropical paradise with a roof, views of swaying palm trees, and lots of seating to go around. Step outside to enjoy your own private pool, offering a refreshing retreat surrounded by lush coastal scenery. Another unique aspect of this property compared to other vacation homes on Tybee Island is the view of the Tybee Lighthouse, which is sure to be on your vacation itinerary!

Finding activities and events near your Tybee vacation rentals is almost as easy as simply walking out your door. The beach is never far away on this small island and is definitely the top draw for most visitors. You'll find that the North Beach is quieter than the other beaches. Along with the beach, the other main sights on Tybee are the Tybee Island Lighthouse and Museum, the Tybee Marine Science Center, and Fort Pulaski. This particular property is close to the Tybee Lighthouse on the north side of the island. The lighthouse is over 200 years old, and visitors can climb to the top for a great view of the island. The museum nearby gives more information about the lighthouse. Fort Pulaski is a Civil War-era fort built to protect the United States coastline and was the site of a battle of the same name. The fort is well-preserved and offers guided tours, as well as a visitor center and special exhibits. The fort is actually on Cockspur Island, just to the west of Tybee. While there, you can also visit the Cockspur Island Lighthouse.

At the Tybee Marine Science Center, you can get in on guided beach walks to explore both the beaches and marshes of Tybee. There are plenty of other activities on the island as well, including dolphin watching, fishing, kayaking, and more. Tybee is also located only about 20 miles from Savannah, and it's an easy drive by taxi or car. Savannah is full of even more activities and attractions, including Forsyth Park, River Street, the City Market, and much more. It's also home to a range of museums, historic architecture, and plenty of fantastic restaurants.

    Antonio and his staff were great. The views from the balconies were beautiful. It is on the main road convenient to the buses which were very crowded already in May. I would definitely stay there again.

    We enjoyed our stay at this property, the home was clean and comfortable. We liked the location at the north end of Tybee, a quiet area with great views of the lighthouse. Property managers were very responsive to any of our inquiries/needs we had during our stay.

    Our stay at Southern Belle Rentals General George Marshall property exceeded our expectations. We found the entire property to be very accommodating to our 11 person group. The large kitchen was very well stocked with everything needed. We enjoyed the comfortable coastal feel and we definitely would return!

    Very nice house and great layout, however some of the blinds were defective, at least 2 bathroom towel bars were down, some of the entry steps were soft and potentially dangerous. No Blinds on the basement bunk room was concerning. Aside from this it was a great house, great location and we very much enjoyed our stay.Oh, one other thing, we didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the NEW pool, but it appears the light timer was set for PM vs AM , ie: the lights were on during the day but not at night.

    I was able to text with the property managers and they were quick to respond. I made a few minor suggestions which they accepted graciously. Location was perfect. All attractions except the pool were within walking distance. My daughter and grandchildren visited the pool. Too far but I understand one is being built on the property. We all loved how spacious it was and the screened in porch.

    It was the perfect location for a girls weekend. Walking distance to the beach and walking distance to cute coffee shops and food! The only thing that we wished we knew was that the bunk bedroom is on the bottom floor with access to the outside and no curtain for that sliding door. House was clean and well stocked!

    From the moment we climbed the stairs and walked in the door, we knew we'd made the right choice! The house was bright, clean, and well-appointed, and completely supported eight women of a certain age who enjoy being with each other and exploring Tybee and Savannah. Both the front sitting room and the family/television room were very conducive to nights and mornings spent talking, laughing, and sharing wine.This was a wonderful property, and the lighthouse nightlight was a distinct bonus.

    My family of four stayed at this property for five days. We were extremely impressed walking into the property. It was absolutely beautiful, spacious, clean, and cozy! There was plenty of room for us to choose our sleeping quarters as there were five bedrooms. It was in a wonderful location, with the lighthouse directly across from us. The sunrises were gorgeous! Our trip was for the purpose of a family wedding, and the golf cart rental made perfect transportation from the property to the venue, which was at the Shriners club. I would definitely choose this property again. Should we return to Tybee Island!

    Disappointed in 5th bedroom because of entrance through garage.,large glass door with no privacy no curtain, someone outside could look straight into the bedroom .Also no 1/2 bath available for that room.

    This was an overall nice property, fantastic location, lots of space and natural light. There were terrific amenities and everything you could want to cook for a large group. The communication was excellent and immediate responses with issues resolved right away. I was surprised at the condition of some of the property. The floor at the entrance has a huge bulge in it which make it difficult to open and close the door. some of the steps leading up to the house were loose. The handrail is loose. there were two broken chairs in the house. Several of the beds were very uncomfortable, so much so that we slept on the couch. The basement had a door to the outside that had no window covering on it, with two bunk beds in it. It smelled very musty in the basement. I wish there had been a toilet in the basement for those four beds. Overall, the house is awesome, great location, very well priced. I would stay there again. Just some issues that should be addressed.

    We had a great time at Tybee Island and this property with the exception of a few minor things. Southern Belle staff(Mel) saved the day by bringing fans when AC not working.

    Our family of six adults and seven children under 8 stayed at this property for five days. Because the children were so young and we would have to access the beach on a busy road, we opted to rent a golf cart, which added $1,000 to our expenses. The house is beautiful when you first enter - a lovely kitchen area with a big island and two different seating areas, which worked well for adults watching the Olympics and young children watching Trolls! Bedroom set up upstairs worked well. However, the house is advertised as five bedrooms and the fifth bedroom is down a musty set of stairs and through a garage. It contains two bunk beds that we did not feel were safe for small children, so an adult had to go down and sleep on the top and let two young ones sleep on the bottoms. All of the knobs were off of the drawer screws, which made the drawers unusable in this room. I paid extra to bring our Westie, who could not use the yard because so much of the fencing was down. And, when we went to use the grill for hamburgers, we had to prop up the grate with a piece of cement and fashion a handle for the lid from a coat hanger, despite my calling the management company in advance to make sure there was a suitable grill. This is a lovely neighborhood with the lighthouse beaming at night. We had a great week because we were together and the North beaches are perfect for young children. However, I do not feel the management company had visited this home in quite some time.

    Great home and location for a family beach week. Plenty of room to spread out in this house with a great kitchen / open area. The home was well stocked. The front porch had a nice breeze and shade in the afternoon with a fantastic view of the Tybee Lighthouse right across the street. A short walk to the North beach entrance so no need to worry about parking. The North Beach Bar and Grill fried shrimp dinner is a must. We would definitely stay here again.
