The Bright Aerie is a newly refreshed 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath lofted condo in the heart of UT s West Campus and minutes to all of Austin s major attractions. You ll feel the heartbeat of the city from this convenient and highly desirable location near The Drag with a market just around the corner and coffee, shopping, bars & restaurants nearby. Experience Austin like a local with easy access to bike rentals and join the many people buzzing by on scooters and bikes.
This condo has been recently updated and features two balconies, a small but full kitchen, washer and dryer, living room with TV you can connect your streaming accounts to (no cable) and a lovely spiral staircase leading to a lofted bedroom. There is a half bathroom downstairs at the entrance and a full bathroom upstairs.
We are in the heart of West Campus so there are many college students around and it is buzzing with UT student life. Everything is just minutes away! We do have a dedicated parking spot but if you don t bring a car, no worries, you can scoot, bike (rentals nearby) or take a quick Lyft/Uber.
Guests have access to the entire condo, except a closet that is used for storage. There is a smaller closet where guests can store their belongings.
Rental Rules
We love that we can share our home with you but please treat the home, belongings, and property with care.
1. No pets. If it is determined that there were pets on the property, the security deposit (also called “damage deposit”) will automatically become forfeited.
2. No Visitors. People other than those set forth above may not be on the property at any given time. Any person on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. If there are more guests than disclosed in the Rental Party, the security deposit (also called “damage deposit”) will automatically become forfeited.
3. The property is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
5. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
6. Practice safety at all times.
7. Parking: parking is assigned, please only park in the designated spot. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
8. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, we do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the house. Do not leave wet towels on the furniture.
9. Smoking is allowed outside only. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the outdoor container. The security deposit (also called “damage deposit”) will automatically become forfeited for smoking indoors and additional remediation expenses may be imposed.
10. Storms:
If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless:
• the state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or
• A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest.
• The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund:
-Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;
-Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and
-Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period.
11. No illegal substances are to be used, sold, or distributed on the property.
12. No parties and/or loud music. Please respect the neighbors and their privacy.
13. Checkout is at 11AM. Late checkouts may be subject to a $50/hr fee because we schedule cleaners to arrive soon after 11am.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Please note this home has quiet hours from 10pm-7am as the neighbors have small children.

The apartment is very charming and extremely well located for my work at the Harry Ransom Center a few blocks away. It is also very well equipped and the bed was especially comfortable. Because the bedroom is up a spiral staircase I was glad to have a downstairs half bath as well. Highest marks go to the manager, Darlene, who was accessible for my every question. I'd stay again.
We loved our stay at this loft apartment! With close proximity to the University, the capital buildings and downtown Austin. We’ll definitely stay here next time we’re back in Austin.

Can't beat the location for you Longhorn parents or fans! I am both and am a fan of this apartment! All is as advertised. I really loved the decor and the well thought out space! I also really appreciated the convenient store across the street and the Starbucks pick up just a block down the street. We walked to the stadium for the game no problem. If I had to find any cons, I will share two challenges. One was getting to the parking behind the building when we arrived, as I was not familiar with how the one-way streets ran and had to circle back around with construction to boot. Once there, the parking space was well marked. Really awesome to have a designated space. I will say this apartment does have a longish flight up to it. Once inside the apartment, the spiral staircase takes you upstairs to the bedroom. I can tell you, I am thin and with luggage, it was a little tight getting up there. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means for me, but I would caution it would be a bigger challenge to anyone with joint or mobility limitations. Other than that, it honestly is a great apartment with much character in a great location!
The place was exactly as listed. It was clean and in a great location with a little market across the street that really has everything you need!

The property was super cute and clean in a safe neighborhood. Close to campus and a short uber from dozens of great restaurants and bars. The market virtually next door made picking up necessities very convenient. Darlene was a fantastic host - she responded quickly to all questions. I highly recommend staying here.
