Heart of South Bend-Heated Pool-Game Room -2500ft²

Pool was fabulous. Kids had so much fun as it was a hot weekend. The gaming basement was a lot of fun for the kids too. Owner was quick with responding to questions we had too. Nice quiet safe neighborhood too. We enjoyed our Notre Dame game weekend so much that a couple crocodile tears were shed by the kids! Perfect family fun home! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Austin was a great communicator and helped to meet our needs quickly. We appreciated his efforts in responding to our messages while we were staying in his home and felt safe in this neighborhood. It was also great to have a Meijer within walking distance and a school with a fantastic playground down the road. The home is average. It met our needs of having a full kitchen, basement for the kids to play & cool off (ping pong net was broken and there weren’t any ping pong balls), and enough beds to sleep in. The pool water was wonderful. However, there is a large crack in the slide so we stopped letting the kids use it for safety. There aren’t any pool side chairs as pictured, but there is a patio table with a very worn and torn umbrella. The listed fire pit is quite rusted out and so we didn’t use it. Our biggest concern during the stay was that the AC unit was too small to effectively cool the whole house so the second floor was very warm. The bunk bed room where our children slept was particularly warm. We ran to Meijer to buy two fans to help to try and cool the upstairs space.Other than that, the pots and pans should be replaced as the teflon is peeling off and the grill igniter isn’t great, but other small things were easily worked around. I’m sure as the owners work to improve things here and there it will grow to be a nice place to stay. We enjoyed ourselves overall, but will book elsewhere for our next get together.

Property was just as described. It was very neat and clean. The pool and hot tub were very nice and there were even beach towels and some pool floats.

Fun time for all family

We were welcomed by a very unappealing smell in the house. We couldn’t tell if it was a cat smell or garbage from the garage. The garage trash had not been taken out and it was awful smelling. We had been notified a day before arrival that the washer was not working and the fridge would not latch. New appliances were supposed to be delivered the second day of our stay. The owner told us they were in the truck but never came. I think we were lied to. We had booked a rental home over a hotel so that we could do laundry, we were in town for a baseball tournament. We were unable to do any laundry during our stay and had to keep moving a cooler in front of the fridge to keep it somewhat latched. On our third day, while our kids were swimming, a stranger comes in the backyard and announces he was the handyman for the house. This would not have been a problem if we had been told ahead of time. But we did not appreciate him showing up unannounced. We would not stay here again.

House was big enough for our family which was nice. The pool and hot tub were also nice and glad we spent most of our time out there. The house smelled moldy/musty. The washer didn’t work, the fridge door wouldn’t stay shut, the dishwasher worked off and on. The trash was overflowing when we got there so no place to put our trash.

This rental was perfect for our stay. It was clean, spacious, and conveniently located for our Notre Dame graduation trip. The basement game room was a hit with the young ones in our family. It had everything you could ask for. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

House was clean, spacious, well decorated and well lit! Kids loved the basement for games, backyard for spikeball and we had daily soaks in the jacuzzi! Close to everything and the neighborhood was quiet. Easy access in and out! Host quickly responds and provided everything we needed. So many wonderful family memories made on this trip! Notre Dame, Central Park, Kung Fu Tea, Smoothie King, Mall, many day hikes w the kiddos and so much more. Thank you for a great home away from home!
