Heart of Périgord noir 8-person house, breathtaking view, private pool

Family gathered from four locations to explore the Perigord Noir. The house and pool were a perfect home for a week. Great facilities, lots of safe parking at the house, excellent communication and helpful house manager available to assist. We loved it and would come back again.

Quite simply this house provided everything you could wish for for you holiday. The inside space is well equipped and has been decorated with attention to detail. The bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The terrace is where we spent most of our week, the pool is beautiful and well maintained, very much appreciated in the heat and with the outdoor kitchen/drinks fridge we had no reason to use the inside kitchen. It was so peaceful and yet positioned perfectly for a short stroll into the village which offers plenty of nice restaurants/ bars and quaint shops. Dominique was attentive and swift in communicating. lastly the property is completely secure and safe, reassuring when you are away with family. We will definitely be returning.

Dominque’s home was perfect for our group of two couples. It was spacious with lots of different spaces to relax both inside and out. The pool area was wonderful for relaxing and watching the hot air balloons every morning and night and it was where there was a shower which we all used regularly as there were only baths in the bathrooms inside (which is handy if you have children). Dominque was super responsive before and during our stay, ensuring we had a memorable time. Thank you Dominique, you have a beautiful home which we totally recommend.

Amazing property. Perfect for a family or group. So close to the river and walks. The only thing missing was a boulangerie in walking distance. I would highly recommend.

My family very much enjoyed our stay in this beautifully quaint, perfectly located home. Our favourite things to do were relaxing by the pool. Preparing family meals at the outdoor kitchen. Walking to the bakery in the morning on the road behind the property. Admiring the idyllic views and hot air balloons. Lush garden - great for butterfly spotting! Playing chess whilst listening to the music collection. We made lovely memories. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The outside space is unbeatable it is really private and quiet the views are beautiful the pool is gorgeous and was a winner in the heat sleeps 5 comfortably

We spent a very enjoyable week in this property - it was a real home from home. The outdoor space is just wonderful - spacious terrace with loungers, sofa and 2 dining areas, outdoor kitchen and a truly great pool. Views across the countryside are amazing. The villa was well-equipped and had plenty of space for 5 adults. The beautiful village of La Roque-Gageac is within easy walking distance and we enjoyed kayaking on the Dordogne river, as well as having a choice of places to eat and drink locally. The owner was very helpful about the arrangements prior to our visit and responded quickly to a couple of queries we had during our stay. We would recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

We had a marvellous time at the house during July. The weather was hot which made the superb pool even more welcome! The check-in process was so slick and easy with everything explained in every detail. The house itself is furnished with impeccable taste and has lovely, large living areas and bedrooms, the kitchen was very well equipped. The outside areas are just what you need for lounging about and also for a spot of lunch/dinner on the terrace - lots of areas to choose where to eat outside, surrounded by the lovely, well kept gardens. The pool is big and was great for cooling off. Restaurants and shops are a short stroll away. We will definitely be going back!!
