HayJac House - Perfect Downtown Location and the Living is Easy.

Once again another wonderful stay at the Hayjac house. As usual everything was better than excellent. Beautiful, clean and updated rooms and house. Love that it is centrally located and within easy walking distance of everything downtown Bardstown.

I can’t say enough good things about this property or our stay….Wow!! This place is beautiful inside and out!! We wanted for nothing during our stay, the place had every amenity you could ask for and then some. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in their place and it showed. Check-in & check-out were seamless. And talk about location, right in the heart of downtown Bardstown where there are so many great restaurants in walking distance. Additionally, there are many distilleries within just a few miles of this place to visit. My group is already talking about making this an annual trip and we will certainly want to stay here.

This VRBO experience was easily our BEST EVER. Everything about HayJac house made us wish we were staying longer. A stay here will not disappoint!! I hope we have an opportunity to come back and stay again!

This house was stunning, location was top notch for downtown! Jim the host was awesome, we had 4 inches of snow and he was cleaning off our cars-so nice! We will definitely be back and will stay here again.

This was our 3rd stay and it was just as wonderful as the first two. Owner’s are easy to communicate with and have made a place that we can’t wait to visit again!

Great host. Great location. Walk to everything. The best VRBO we have rented and we’ve been using this service for over 10 years. This is a spectacularly renovated historic 1910 home. Second time we’ve rented this house.

If you are asking yourself if you should book here, I would selfishly say no because I want to keep it a secret… but, I like to share, so I would say YES and run don’t walk.. This place has been top notch from start to finish.. Jim sent us places to visit and eat at, which got us excited right away… the pictures are accurate, but believe me when I say this, they do not do it justice… The hosts were top notch with communication, so many things they went above and behond for.. towels and linens were superb. Hadorns bakery next door is a must, known for their yum yums. Get there early.. my boyfriend asked me to marry him in the house, it is that wonderful.. will be returning back next year to sit on that back porch! The Chicagoans!

Perfect location for two couples to explore Bardstown and the surrounding area.

Truly enjoyed staying at HayJac house. Beautifully decorated with added touches for comfort. Great location to walk around downtown. We'd stay again on our next visit to Bardstown.

The house was absolutely perfect for a group of 4 adults on the bourbon tour, the amenities, space, cleanliness and overall decor of the pad. It was a excellent location in Bardstown, just a short stroll to anything you needed, restaurants, liquor store, brewery, etc. We honestly have to say that this is probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed in! What puts this house and the owners in a bracket above the rest were the small details that people need on a journey and like to cook.....Proper coffee and filters were at the house and ready to go, laundry detergent was there if you needed it (we did), there were ziplock bags, foil, seasonings, fresh big cube and round bourbon ice, extra water, plenty of good shampoo, body wash, etc. a gas grill that actually worked and was really clean (not to mention the all the utensils you needed for it) and multiple outdoor decks for hanging out. It is a beautiful home that has lots of love, the only negative item we could say is that we were bummed we didn't stay longer! Thank you Jim and Gina!

Incredibly nice property with a great location. Would come back in a heartbeat!! Short walk to many restaurants and the one min walk to the bakery is dangerous to your waistline ha. Lots to do in Bardstown and surrounding area and this is a wonderful place to stay after a busy day of exploring.

This is our second trip to Bardstown and our second time staying at the HayJac house. The check in process is very easy and the hosts are very responsive. The house is beautiful, stocked with everything you could need for a wonderful trip. We absolutely love the location, close to shops and restaurants. We had an amazing trip and it was wonderful to have such a great house to come back to at the end of a very busy day! We are already looking forward to our next trip!

Easily one of the best VBROs we have ever stayed in. Great place to use as a home base for the Bourbon experience because it is close to so many distilleries. In Bardstown we could park at our place and walk to everything. The house was amazing!!! Clean, well stocked and over the top accomodations. The host Jim and Gina could not have been better. Timely communication, easy check in and check out, and very informative. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The HayJac has the PERFECT location, the PERFECT host in the PERFECT town to enjoy a hike on the Bourbon Trail.Ol' Snuffy and the Judge'll tell ya...it's PERFECT.

This home is absolutely beautiful. It is conveniently located right off the square. You can walk to many shops, restaurants, and bars.Jim and Gina are perfect hosts. They give great recommendations and information about the area. They make sure the house is meticulously clean. Communication is easy and answered in a timely manner.

The charm of this house grabbed us even from the pictures but they didn’t do it justice. The house was a perfect home base to explore the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. It was conveniently located to many of the distilleries but it also provided a nice place to rest up for the next day. It was extremely well stocked and the owners communicated with us like we were friends of the family. We will certainly recommend it to our friends.

We have stayed in Bardstown a few times, but this stay was the best because of the house we rented. It has anything in there that you need, and Jim communicates with you if there are any issues. Would highly recommend.

This was far and away the best short term rental experience I’ve had-and I’ve stayed at over 100 properties. From the kindness and thoughtfulness of the hosts, to the amenities of the property, to the property itself, and its location, there is seriously nothing more that could have been done to make us feel more welcome. I unhesitatingly and enthusiastically recommend this property.

We were blown away by this house. We chose it for it's location to downtown Bardstown and it exceeded our expectations. It was so much bigger than we expected for a 2 bedroom house, it is recently and beautifully remodeled with every comfort considered. The outdoor patio space was very nice on mild evenings. The house was immaculate, the check in process couldn't have been easier. The hosts were very helpful with suggestions and always quick to respond to questions. The house is next door to a donut shop and around the corner from the Scout and Scholar restaurant/brewery. We were able to walk to dinner and live music each night of our stay. Highly recommend this house and we hope to come back again next year.

This is a beautiful place to stay. I would give it an 11 on a 10 point scale. The place was so nice. Clean. Well-stocked. Quiet. Well located within walking distance of restaurants and bars with live entertainment. We would definitely stay here again. P.S. If I were to build a small home, I would copy this floor plan. Loved the house.
