Stayed Oct 3, 2025We had a great time and really enjoyed the location near the stream, bike path, and near down town. It was great to relax in the hot tub and roast smores by the fire! We walked up to a nice beer garden with good sandwiches and a band too.

Stayed Oct 1, 2025The house was immaculate. The kitchen and bathrooms had more than everything we needed. Decor is very tasteful. It is obvious that the owner spent considerable thought to make our stay as good as possible. I don't have a dog but the house has a separate room for pets and even bowls for dog food. She is a terrific host/owner. I highly recommend staying there.

Stayed Nov 23, 2024We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hawksbill. The house was clean and the host had wonderful communication with us offering assistance with anything we needed. We loved the bike trail right outside our front door to walk the dogs. The creek was so nice and peaceful. We enjoyed the front porch and outside back patio with the hot tub. There are two fenced in yards, with one being secure for dogs and the other not secure by the rock wall. Our dogs easily got out of that area. There are many nice places to walk too and the hiking in Shenandoah National Park is so close. We loved our Thanksgiving vacation!!

Stayed Nov 1, 2024Great house in a very convenient location. Owner has put a lot of thought in the house for your needs. Nice front porch to watch the river flow by. Two fenced in yards for smaller dogs, one with a firepit, the other with a hot tub and grill. There are no ensuites. Downstairs bathroom is right off the only living area. And it’s tiny! Kitchen is pretty and well stocked, but hard to move around in. A nice place to stay, though!

Stayed Aug 9, 2024This property is right on the Luray Hawksbill Greenway, making it easy to access for bike rides and walks. We chose this property for that reason. It's also just a short drive to Shenandoah National Park. The hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking, and the fire pit was perfect for making s'mores. The updated bathrooms and kitchen are beautiful. However, be advised that the photos make the kitchen appear larger than it is in real life; the table actually takes up most of the floor space. Also be advised that a train comes through town multiple times per day/night and its whistle and rumbling can be heard at the property. Communication with the host was top notch, and check-in was a breeze.

Stayed Jul 21, 2024It was a great stay. The property is in a great location. We were able to get to all of the places we wantwd to visit is a short trip. Grocery stores and Walmart is close by ad needed. The greenway and creek were great for the kids and the house was well kept and set up nicely. We very much so enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Jun 21, 2024This was our second stay and is very definitely our favorite. The house was neat, clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Self-check in was easy. Host communication was excellent. The location is perfect for either a quiet visit along the creek or to explore along Main Street. It is convenient to many downtown restaurants. The house is very dog friendly, they've included bowls and towels for the pups. There are two fenced yards. We used the securely fenced yard that has the hot tub in it to allow the dogs some outside time. The other fence is lower and bordered by a rock wall. We tried that fenced area for the view. Within two minutes the youngest pup spotted a rabbit and did her awesome billy goat impression, climbing the wall to chase it. The Luray Hawksbill Greenway is a three mile gorgeous educational walk along the creek that includes many gardens and work out stations. The greenway is very pet friendly with multiple potty stations well stocked with bags. We were fortunate to catch a free Friday night concert at the Ruffner Plaza. Our stay was perfect.
