Hawk Mountain Song- Massanutten Home with hot tub!

We had a fantastic stay at this home near Massanutten Resort. The house was cozy, clean, and very well equipped with everything our family of four (two adults and two kids) needed for a comfortable visit. The neighborhood was nice and quiet as well. It’s clear the owners take great care of the property. Everything was in great condition and thoughtfully arranged. The location was perfect, just a short drive to the Waterpark and close to Harrisonburg for restaurants and shopping.We’ve stayed in this area several times, and this has definitely become our favorite spot. We’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Massanutten area!

We enjoyed our long weekend at this rental property! Plenty of room for 6 adults. The hot tub was large enough for all of us! We played card games at the kitchen table, watched a movie downstairs in the large comfy sofa. It was ideal having 3 full bathrooms. All linens were provided including pool towels. We used the blackstone and gas grill for our meals. The kitchen was well stocked (except we couldn’t find a cookie/baking sheet)! We used the pool table nightly for more group game time fun. The hosts touched base to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us an early check in and a late check out! Would definitely stay again.

I can only give a 2. First let me say the home was very clean no complaints there. Why I give it a 2 is because the property was not maintained. The fireplace did not work. The lights outside did not work at base of driveway, the master bedroom fan and light did not work and the downstairs bathroom sink was poor to drain. Minor problems we could deal with but a non functional oven was not acceptable. They did try to send someone out but it was not possible to get a part. I was refunded a 10% of the rental fee but that did not amount to the stress the difficulty we experienced. It would not have covered a bill at a restaurant for 4 adults and 2 children. The home would have been nice and the people were kind and attempted to fix the oven , but when renting the expectation is to have a functional home. I’m sorry to have to give a non-complimentary review but hopefully these problems can be fixed before someone else experiences the same difficulties.

We loved our stay at Hawk Mountain Song! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed! The layout of the house was perfect for our family of four and there was plenty of room to spare! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

House was a nice layout for two or three small families. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and tools. Great location/close to the resort.

This home is stunning! Spacious and beautifully decorated. You could tell that a lot of care was put into every detail of this property to ensure the perfect stay. All the comforts of home and then some are there to make your vacation comfortable and memorable. The owners Mark and Jenny are so warm and welcoming and communication was top notch. I highly recommend staying at this property.

We had a wonderful time! The host was great, the listing photos and description were accurate, the house was clean, and there were a bunch of sweet extra touches, like holiday decorations.

Host did a great job checking in to be sure our family did not need anything. Very nice home with everything you would need. Well stocked kitchen and outside cooking area.I would recommend this house if you are looking in the area. Worked out well for our daughter's graduation from JMU.

The home is well appointed, clean and updated. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishware. The hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. The propane gas fire pit provided warmth and ambiance. The area is quite. Ammenities are close. Highly recommend this home for a get away. We will definitely be back.

We really liked the location and layout of the house. A few things we noticed that weren't deal breakers but would have upped our enjoyment: Our group enjoyed the outdoor space immensely but a few more outdoor chairs would have been nice. Some regular/smaller size glasses would also have been helpful. A TV in one or two of the bedrooms since some of us like to sleep with a TV on and more lighting... it was very dark while trying to play games at the dining room table. Again, not deal breakers but just things we've noticed - a group of middle aged women who like to relax, play games, be outside when we can and don't always even leave the house!!

We brought two littles with us and really appreciated the cleanliness. The place was very nice and close to many family friendly activities. We would recommend having a few extra blankets lying around when it gets chilly, and some more toilet paper/dish detergent, etc. These items were stocked a little low, but that’s minor. The neighbors were also much closer than we realized. Everyone was very nice, but a personal preference was a bit more privacy.

We loved staying here. It so close to everything we wanted to do. We definitely will be back again for sure!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Hawk Mountain Song while in town for our niece’s wedding. The location was perfect—just a quick ten-minute drive to the venue, Brix and Columns Vineyards, which made everything easy and stress-free. The home was clean, comfortable, and a great place for our family to relax and spend time together. Would definitely stay here again!

Even though it rained 90% of the time, our family had an amazing time. We didn't go with any plans in mind, but there was a lot of things to do. We relaxed at the house with the kids and really enjoyed family time. The house was so accommodating and had everything we needed to cook, drink, and have fun. The flat top grill was an extra touch that had us thinking about making grilled pizza- which turned out amazing! The pool table kept the kids off their phone and challenging each other for a game.

Our family vacation at Hawk Mountain Song could not have been better. With 2 small children there was plenty of space and the pack n play and high chair were an extra bonus. The kitchen is fully stocked (really it has everything you could need) and allowed us to eat in most of the time. Everything is in working order, very clean, and communication with the hosts is seamless. They answered our questions promptly. Self check in was easy and there is plenty of parking space for our 3 cars. The hot tub was a nice addition. We took advantage of the location and were able to go to Luray Caverns, the water park at Massanutten, hike the tunnel trail in Shenandoah, and go to a winery. The only item I would change is that there aren't any toiletries, so make sure to bring your own shampoo and soap. We would definitely stay there again.

This property was perfect for our week stay. Plenty of room for people to spread out. Full equipped kitchen allowed us to cook all our meals. The pack and play crib and the high chair were added bonuses. It was clean and near to Massanutten where we enjoyed the water park and the nearby winery. Bring your own toiletries as there aren't any on-site, and we had to purchase TP and paper towels as there wasn't enough for the week.

I spent a week to celebrate my 70th birthday with my adult children, and grandchildren. The house was nicely decorated yet cozy. Layout was great for all we wanted to do. The kitchen is well appointed and we mostly cooked in. Hot tub was a big hit... especially after hiking in the Shenandoah Park. Unit was clean. The littles enjoyed a nearby indoor water park. AC works well, but getting the upstairs cool enough made the downstairs family room and bedroom uncomfortably cold.

Great stay, photos are very accurate, beautiful home with a great clean hot tub. Only thing I wish I would have know was no shower toiletries.

Very spacious 4 bedrooms with hot tub and pool table to keep everyone occupied. Fantastic water park close by and petting farm that kept the toddler and adults happy. Very close also to ski resort and plenty of walks.

The views and all the amenities at Hawk Mountain Song made it the perfect home base for a family snow tubing trip.

This is our second time to stay at Hawk Mountain Song. It is a great home for our family.! We had three generations there ranging from 65 down to two and everybody had plenty of room. The home is furnished beautifully, and the kitchen is well supplied. The views from Every window ore outstanding! We made good use of the hot tub, and the ski large is just a short drive away. The ski staff on the mountain were so friendly and helpful. We had a terrific time.! The hosts are spot on, and answer any question immediately. We couldn’t have had a better time!

This was a great spot for our party of nine. The kitchen and bar areas were well stocked. The hot tub was clean and spacious. The two living areas provided options for the kids and adults to have their own spaces to gather. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood, and the close proximity to the resort amenities. My only feedback is that it would be nice to have more couch seating on the main floor to accommodate more than 5 adults, but we made it work.

Such a great home! Lovely, spacious, light filled house! It had everything we needed to cook a full Thanksgiving meal! Gorgeous placement of home to enjoy amazing sun rises! Nice quiet part of the resort that let us take walks. The kids played tennis and enjoyed the park. Perfect stay!!!

Overall the stay was great however we had issues with the trash- we went to the listed address to throw out trash but there was a sign there saying trash dumping wasn’t allowed and there would be a fine and another address was listed, when we went there- there was no where to throw the trash either. Besides that the place was clean and everything else was nice.

The house was beautiful! Very clean, well stocked , and nicely laid out with a lovely outdoor space with hot tub and gas fire pit. Furnishings were very nice and the gas fireplace created such a cozy atmosphere. The area was so pretty! Would highly recommend to anyone!!

House was super clean and looks exactly like the pictures. The property owners were proactive in their communication and texted directly before check-in. Would return and would recommend!

This was our second time staying at hawk mountain song and we will definitely be back! This time we brought our kids and they loved it. The game room was a huge hit for them and us. We loved playing pool with them and relaxing in the hot tub every night. The large kitchen was great for our family. We went to luray and va safari park and overal just had an amazing time. This house has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is close to everything. Great for hiking too! And the deer in the afternoons! We saw so many deer! We can’t wait to return next year!

My two best friends from high school, myself and our spouses spent two nights together in this beautiful home over the weekend marking our 50th anniversary of graduating from Harrisonburg High School. The home was perfect for us. We each had our own bedroom and bath. The kitchen was open and adequately equipped. The first night we enjoyed eating supper on the private back deck. The open living room and dining area were comfortable and spacious. We entertained 7 of our high school friends for lunch. Recreation room downstairs worked great for our game time. The hot tub was clean and felt great. FfY; the driveway is very steep and you have to climb a flight of steps to get to the main floor. Communications with host were excellent.

We truly enjoyed our time here and it was awesome being so close to everything!

We spent the weekend visiting Shenandoah National Park and all six of us stayed in this home. It was spacious, clean, and stocked with everything we needed and more! There were two grills and a 6-person hot tub on the beautiful back porch with some of the area covered, so even rain did not discourage us from using it! Everything was perfect, and we would definitely stay here again.

This was our first stay at Hawk Mountain Song and it did not disappoint! There was plenty of space for our party of 8 and we enjoyed the back patio with the fire pit and hot tub. The location was amazing with plenty of activities to do to keep the kids busy while also enjoying the mountain views!
