Town: Moelfre, a charming seaside community with little cottages, a scenic port, a beach, lovely views of Snowdonia, a functioning lifeboat, and two excellent pubs/restaurants, is located on the lovely east coast of Anglesey. Discover magnificent cliff-top treks with breathtaking mountain views, enjoy fishing or observing sea birds, seals, or even dolphins, or visit the wildly popular local Seawatch Centre. The sad Royal Charter shipwreck in 1859 was the most recent of the village's many historical connections. Benllech, Lligwy, and the picturesque Red Wharf Bay, with its miles of open dunes and birds, are beautiful sandy beaches that are close by. A great starting point for exploring this wonderful island and stunning Snowdonia.

We had a brilliant week exploring Anglesey with our cocker spaniel and Haulfryn proved to be an excellent base. Not only was there an amazing view to wake up to every morning but direct access to the footpaths along the coast. Moelfre turned out to be an unspoilt fishing village with a wonderful tea shop and pub. We will be back!
