Happyplace Hideaway | Dog Friendly + Lake Access

Loved the house! Beautiful view of the mountains and lake from the deck! We visited in the fall and loved seeing all the trees. Hanging in the hot tub in the morning and evenings made it all the more enjoyable. Our family also appreciated the bean bag toss, foosball table and poker chips (taught the kids Texas Hold 'Em). The Neighborhood is VERY nice, enjoyable to walk in with our dog and is an excellent location not far from most of the attractions in and around Deep Creek.

Exactly what I wanted: a cozy but large house with an amazing view to enjoy my morning cup of coffee. Rustic enough to feel like you were in the woods but modern enough to not feel like you were roughing it.

We had a great weekend getaway. Great views!

The property and location is quiet, comfortable, easily accessible, and has an awesome view. The house is very nice. It has a lot of character and great personal touches from the owners. It seemed like we were staying at a friends house. The bad part is the rental company. They responded to a security issue (unlockable door) but other aspects were disappointing. We asked if we could check in a couple hours early and we're told we could for a fee. The instructions provided for entering the property were incorrect. They were for a different system. We called and the correct instructions were provided. Because of all the rental rules we were paranoid and inspected everything. We found a lot. Some issues were due to normal wear but many were due to inattentive cleaners and some posed a safety or security risk. This is some of what we found. The front door has cracked glass, damaged wood carvings, and many scratches from what appear to be a big dog. The lights and fan in the hall bathroom stopped working. We figured out that it was the GFCI receptacle, but no one used the receptacle. The house seemed clean but there were marks on all the sliders. They looked like a dog was rubbing their nose on the glass. There were cigarettes in several containers outside. There was a broken flower pot on the deck, a beer can in one of the outside chairs, the hot tub filter had tape on it that came off when we started the jets, one of the downstair doors would not lock (maintenance came and fixed it), there were only two washcloths for five people, the upstairs fire place didn't have a remote (we looked everywhere and maintenance said the main box under the fireplace was broken and would have to be replaced, maybe that is why it was missing), the manhole cover in the backyard had water leaking out of it and had the accompanying sewer smell, there was water damage on a wall in the laundry room, and the instructions to the special dumpsters were incorrect. There was more but I think the point is made. Most of the items wouldn't have been mentioned but I felt like if I didn't say something I might have been blamed for them. I did call and tell the rep about the issues after we completed our inspection. They sent maintenance, the next day. I think the homeowners have an amazing house. The company managing it, or the housecleaners, need to do a better

The property was clean, there was plenty of space for all 10 of us to relax and the view was incredibly amazing. We enjoyed the games on property, gas fireplace, and hot tub, and dinner around the huge table!

We enjoyed HappyPlace Hideaway so much. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out but also a ton of seating for us all to be together. There was so much to do in the house as far as games for all ages- we had a 5 year old and teenagers. Would highly recommend this place for your next family getaway!

The house was wonderful for our family weekend getaway. Great view and great location.
