Gruner Bungalow at Tranquility Farm & Winery

We absolutely loved our stay at Gruner Bungalow! The vacation started off well with a gift from the management team from the winery! The house is very clean, beautiful and spacious. We had several kids ages infant to 16 and there were spots for everyone to play and hang out. We cooked every day and the kitchen is very well stocked. Communication with the management team was also amazing. Not only were they flexible and accommodating but they were able to answer any and all questions in a quick timely fashion despite us staying during a holiday. They even brought us things we needed like a kettle and more trash bags. We didn’t feel the need to leave the property during our stay as everything we needed was there. We definitely want to stay again to use the outdoor pool and hope we can make this house our new years place going forward. Very highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay at Gruner Bungalow! There were 12 of us celebrating our father's 85th birthday. The house was amazing with so many places to sit and enjoy time together and plenty of well appointed bedrooms/bathrooms. The property manager recommended a chef that we had come in which was amazing. The pool and grilling area were awesome. The staff at the winery were so nice. We had a fun wine tasting and enjoyed delicious wine and the beautiful landscape. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Beautiful home with a great pool just steps away from a great winery

The house is beautiful; very updated with lots of places to sit and have conversations! It is really close to the tasting room at Otium, but it was never an issue. The pool is really nice, too! Our group of families had a great time! Overall, beautiful house and we had an amazing time.

Everything was perfect! The home and property were beautiful! The pool was fabulous. The owners were attentive to our needs. We loved being able to hang out at the winery. Would love to go back!

The bungalow is very spacious and a great size for multiple families to stay in while hosting a wedding at the nearby property. The game room was a perfect hang out space for the groomsmen the morning of the wedding. For a large home, it was very quiet.The Keurig didn't work but we made do with getting regular coffee for the other pot. The door to the laundry area was off its track but we didn't do any laundry just being there for the weekend. Two big reasons for the 3 star rating:The mattresses in all the rooms except the primary suite over the game room are in need of replacement. The guests in those rooms didn't get much sleep because of the sagging mattresses and creaking beds resulting from the mattresses being so soft/worn out. The AC in the area with the smaller kitchen and basement bedroom was not working at all. We were able to open some windows to let some cooler air in and it was cloudy/rainy which helped keep it from getting unbearably hot. It would have been miserable otherwise.A couple suggestions:Add some toys/books for children and maybe a pack n play or portable crib and a high chair.Provide some outdoor games like corn hole, ladder ball or can jam. The yard is great for playing. Provide a golf cart or 2 to go back and forth to the wedding venue. We rented 2 and they were definitely used a lot. The convenience of being located next to the winery and across from the wedding venue were positives for sure.

The house was fantastic for hosting our friends. Everyone had plenty of space was very comfortable. Nothing but great things to say. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all great. The host were very responsive and the winery very enjoyable.

It's was great. We visited family in the area. And had our family Christmas together at this place. We played ping pong and pool when we where there. Great location for dogs. Plenty of space to run and play. The house was great as well. Plenty of space for everyone.

This was our third time staying at this beautiful property for our strategic planning session, and once again, it was a fantastic experience. The house is always spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. The host provided delicious meals throughout our stay, which added an extra level of convenience and enjoyment. Each meal was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious—perfect for keeping our team energized and focused. The peaceful property and well-maintained outdoor spaces offered a wonderful setting for breaks and team-building. The high level of care and attention to detail make this place a standout, and we keep coming back because it's the ideal space for both productivity and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional stay!

I rented this property for a family wedding. We will probably rent again for another family gathering at this location. Enjoyed our stay.

Our family had a wonderful time vacationing at Gruner Bungalow. The staff at the winery were amazing. The house was perfect!

We stayed at Gruner Bungalow during July 4th weekend for my father's 90 birthday and family celebration. Anita was a great host - responsive, accommodating to our needs, on-site support and truly and genuinely interested in the success of our celebration. The house itself was well maintained and more than adequately accommodated our family who stayed at the bungalow as well as those who participated in our gathering during the day and evening. The rooms were perfect in size and well maintained. The pool itself was great for having fun and overall chilling. The bungalow was next to Otium cellars tasting room so we were able to enjoy the amazing wines that were available... their staff was amazing and supportive as well. The grounds were simply beautiful. As an additional benefit, we were able to watch the Franklin Park fireworks from the venue. We will definitely stay at Gruner Bungalow again (hopefully for my father’s 95th and 100th birthdays) and visit Otium cellars in the mean time as well.

Our family had the best time at this enormous house. The kids loved the pool and game room. And the second kitchen area was big enough for our large sit down dinner. The host was amazing throughout the stay. For example, we asked for wine glasses and they brought them over literally within 5 minutes.
