Gruene River Haven - High & Dry On The River

Excellent stay! I almost don’t want to rave about it so we can keep this place all to ourselves!Great stay, location, house, property, and owners!

Absolutely wonderful hosts anc house. The view was gorgeous. I watched deer, cardinals, an egret, a heron and other birds. The view of the river was great. My grandson caught his first fish from the dock. The beds were so comfortable. The owner welcomed me and showed me through the house. I would love to go back again!

This property on the river is a wonderful way to enjoy the Texas Hill Country with deer passing through and ducks swimming downstream, it is truly a treasure! The backyard is set up with tables, corn hole, outdoor tv and sound system which made our welcome bbq for wedding guests a perfect place to start my daughter’s wedding weekend!

The host was very welcoming and even greeted us upon our arrival. The patio and outdoor setting was stunning. So many places to enjoy. The inside was nice and interesting. Many different rooms, and the kitchen was small but suited everything we needed to make meals for 18 people.

My family had a great time relaxing and catching up in this space for the weekend. They’ve done an amazing job making the experience feel welcoming.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had a group of 12 and the house was plenty big for us, with enough room both inside and outside.

Amazing spot on the river! Owners were super sweet and very prompt to answer any questions! Love the rivier front large front yard. All rooms nice and cold! Our whole group had a blast!

We rented the house for a family wedding in Gruene so we could all stay together. The view is so beautiful and the accommodation was perfect for a large family

We loved staying here so much! We had about 20 college students and it was great, we definitely want to come back. Tons of room to spread out and the best outdoor space you could ask for. Great location too, only a 20 minute walk from Gruene Hall.

Despite room for 22, only 7 of us enjoyed this trip. The house is certainly unique, with lots of rooming options. Everything was clean and tidy. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The jewel in the crown is the back yard on the river. just a beautiful, serene spot. We will be back, without doubt.

Our group of 10 had a lovely time at the house. We had dinner on the patio; the kitchen was perfect for cooking. Everyone loved the charm of the house. We even took kayaks out on the river. Hope to be back soon!

Best house on the Guadalupe. Great for friends and families!

What a great home! The setting is perfect, the water is pristine and the Cypress trees are huge. The shaded back yard is 10 degrees cooler than in the sun, plenty of space for lots of friends. The covered patio (with ceiling fans) was perfect!

We had a great time at this home! It was even better than the pictures depicted. Very cute/quaint house along the river. We enjoyed the deer walking up in the morning and the peaceful views looking out over the water. It was a great time with our dental office team to relax and enjoy each other.
