Ground Floor, Steps to Sand – Silver Sands #243A by RVA

Super beautiful beach and heated pool. So nice. My room had zero view but it was fine. You are there for beach. Not the room. It was clean. Pool was so clear and warm! Coffee pot, refrig and micro all good. Bed was comfy. No sink in apt except bathroom sink. Awkward. But fine. Sunrise to sunset .

Close to the beach, but the apartment was NOT OCEANVIEW at all....it was enclosed with no view! Disappointing!

Would def stay here again!

Property was perfectly located on north longboat key with a beautiful white Sand beach . All amenities were exactly what was given. Unit was clean and well stocked with linens etc. Office staff was also very courteous & helpful. Would book again?

It's in a beautiful location on the beach, loved the heated pool and the lounge chairs on the beach. The front office staff was helpful and the other guests nearby were quiet. I did not like that someone was smoking on the property (guests or staff?). The room was clean and cozy. One critique is that it is dark. There is one window and it' covered by a dark, metal exterior hurricane shutter. The room could use an additinal tall light with a bright bulb. The Expedia description & description for this room is also inaccurate and misleading. When I booked it--and even now, it's described as sleeping 4, but it's a small studio (one room), with 1 bed, and could not sleep more than two people max. There is no space or bed to sleep two more people. This should be changed ASAP.

No communication at all for any of our questions/needs. Front desk failed to give us our room keys leaving us stranded on our anniversary.

We had the most wonderful stay despite the cold temps for most it! The staff at our location are above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need! Highly recommend!

Although very small, it accommodated my needs which was a clean place on the sand. I love Longboat Key and the location on the beach and the cleanliness of the studio was just what I needed. Thank you.

We love the location and the units. It’s not a high rise so you don’t park in a huge parking lot far away from where you are staying. It’s a few steps from the beach. The rooms are updated with new appliances and furnishings. I use to stay here in the 70’s. We love having a kitchen and also a short drive to grocery stores and other places to shop and explore. Beach chairs and beach pull carts are available. All units have screen porches.

The stay was great but I do have a few suggestions. Being that it’s a really small studio you could open up more space by removing those large lamps and adding lights on the walls. It’s super dark in there. I’d remove this stools as they really just take up space. I’d also remove the table and chairs and add a small pub type table w small stools. If a small sink could be added in that empty space on the wall by the counter that would be a huge bonus. I didn’t notice when I booked the place there wasn’t a sink. Also the exhaust vent in the bathroom is really dirty. All and all it went well but I’d probably go with something a little bigger next time with some natural light.

The rental was very basic and on the inside of the complex so there was no view. Being on the first floor, there was a window awning so people couldn't look right in your room but that also meant that you couldn't really see out as well. The complex has a lovely pool and some of the rentals have oceanview. I just wouldn't go back to this one in particular. It was okay for a very short stay.

Room was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed for a quick little stay. Location was perfect and we had our own private beach with never more than 6 people on it at one time! The heated pool was spot on for the chilly nights. This place was quiet and very relaxing. We would definitely book here again!

nice pool, on the beach, but that's all.This place is run down and needs to be updated.Room was too small, not worth the money (1700)When its dark, there are no lights off the highway, so you its difficult to find the place.Never again!

This is our second time staying at the Silver Sands. Very clean, nice people, nice amenities.

Great place for a relaxing long weekend. Not your typical crowded beach. Restaurant close by. The complimentary beach chairs and umbrella made it even better.
