Green House Douro - A balcony over the Douro

Love the home settings, love the view, love the hospitality, despite the incorporating weather. Highly recommend

The host was a terrific communicator, very responsive. The house was impressive, roomy with fully stocked kitchen. Security gated property with nice views over-looking town of Paso da Regua and Douro River. Close to a variety of restaurants, and the tour boat dock on the Douro River. Just across river a few kilometers away are a number of wineries to enjoy. Suggest make reservation at vineyards for wine-tastings, tours etc.

Host was amazing. Had to change my dates and he was very flexible with me. Also extremely responsive and super nice! We were made to feel at home with food & drinks in the fridge, bathrobes & slippers, wine (for purchase) and an amazing view of the Douro River! Great place and great host.

We were daxxledby our welcome, the spaces, the amenities & the fabulous view from the huge patio. We could walk down to river along the esplanade, but always wanted to return home for meals & ambiance. Our host was helpful & responsive. Loved the secure gated parking garage. We did not want to leave! Thank you for providing such a fantastic home away.

Before we even arrived, we were impressed with the experience. Our bus was going to arrive prior to check in time and when I reached out to Amadeu to ask for luggage storage recommendations, he told us we could store at the house, which was so kind. Then he met us at the bus station to help us transport our bags and some of our party up to the house! He also had provided croissants, donuts, meats, cheeses, yogurts, etc. to help with breakfasts! All more than necessary but made us feel so welcomed into the house. Then the house itself was amazing! Clean, well supplied, with a deck with views that were so amazing, it instantly made us all feel relaxed and on vacation! We ended up spending much of our day on the deck rather than exploring the town soaking in the view and the ambiance. Would recommend this place and this host to anyone and we are already looking for excuses to come back! Thank you for making our vacation so memorable!

I would come back again with my family for sure. Very clean, accommodating in good location. Of course the view is exceptional. Host Amadeu was very good.

There were 3 couples in our group. We had breakfast each morning on the balcony overlooking the Duro River and the beautiful valley. Within walking distance of the downtown area. Was so nice to have private, garage parking. The home was well stocked. Highly recommend this home.

We had an amazing time . The host is a wonderful person. Had fruit, juices, bread, cheese, butter, ham, honey waiting for us! Check in and check out we’re a breeze! We recommend this place to anyone! Thank you Amadeu for your hospitality ?

This place is terrific and the host is even better. The views are more impressive than the pictures show. The deck overlooking the river is huge and has amazing views. The property is nicely equipped. The host responded immediately to any questions. The refrigerator was stocked with some wonderful food items and he even delivered fresh bread and pastel de nata (you have to try these amazing Portugal delights). He also had local wines at cost at the house for you to enjoy. A 15-minute walk downhill to lots of restaurants. We walked down and took a taxi back ($5). We will definitely book again!

Great home and good size. Great property management. On arrival and check out. Would stay there again. Awesome home. Would highly recommend giving this place a chance. Very easy access to downtown area.

The pictures on VRBO were accurate. This was a lovely space!!! There was enough room for everyone. It was clean, updated and the host was wonderful. It was close to all of the marathon events. I have no reservations about recommending this rental. It is worth the cost!! Our host even provided wine and fresh pastries!!
