Great vacation home near Tippy Dam, in the Manistee National forest

Upon entrance the interior appeared clean. But on our first night stay my daughter felt something crawling on her next. Upon investigation she saw mice droppings. Because of an early prior engagement we left early and did not return until late. My daughter refused to sleep in the house. She slept in the car and the next morning we were appalled at what we found. The new loaf of bread that was left on the countertop was bitten into. It was then we did some further investigation to find mice droppings just about everywhere. When we contacted the manager she expressed shocked as she has the place terminated three times a year. She could not believe that we left without giving her a chance to correct the situation and further stated that it could have been worse. It could have been a bear. We paid a little over $1100 for six nights but was forced to leave after two nights. We were refunded $600. That would cover the four nights we did not stay. We should not have to pay the cleaning fee. And for the stress and loss of food we should be rewarded the tax for the four nights we didn’t stay as well as the cleaning fee.

We liked the location. The house is really well kept and gives you the feeling of being like home.

Loved the location in the property. We went for the weekend to go skiing at Caberfae Peaks. Just a short drive to the slopes. The home was cozy and warm. It was right in the forest and was a nice getaway from the city. Check in and check out was easy and the house was very clean. Perfect size for our group. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was good since we relied on cooking meals at the house. Would stay again and would recommend to friends.

Great place! About 20 mins from Lake Michigan beaches. Highly recommend!

Our stay was wonderful! Had a mix of warm days and cooler with rain and the cabin kept us comfortable throughout it all. It was the perfect size for our crew, plenty of beds for all. The kids enjoyed the card games and swingset. Our host was quick to communicate with us and was very kind. This is our first time renting a vacation spot and this experience makes us excited to rent again!

This property was clean and inviting when we arrived. We chose this location because we wanted to be close to our family, but still maintain our own space. This location is only about 25 minutes from Manistee, and a couple minutes from Crystal lake. Perfect location and was a perfect little cabin in the woods.

We had a great time in Wellston using this cabin for a home base. It’s got comfortable living space and nice bedrooms.

This is a very clean, well equipped cabin in the woods. 10 minutes to amazing kayaking spots, 30 minutes from the beach. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We had a relaxing time with family at this cabin. We were visiting our son who is in the coast guard. It was a great location to be away from the business but close enough to go to the beaches. It was also nice to visit the Tippy Dam. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It has pots and pans, cookie sheets. It has a coffee maker, toaster, utensils to use to cook with. Washer and dryer made it convenient. Outside has a gas grill or a charcoal grill and a fire pit that you can sit around. This cabin and place is very peaceful. You can hear the birds in the morning. There are a several places to sit and relax. I highly recommend this place in the woods
