Stayed Aug 31, 2024This property is a completely refurbished elementary school which is now an event center and suites. Our room was huge and beautifully decorated. We received detailed instructions for entering the building and accessing our room the morning of our stay. The owner was onsight and made sure we had anything we needed. Everything about the building is so tastefully appointed from the hallways to the ballroom to the movie theatre etc. Yes, I said movie theatre where you can select from a vast array of dvd’s to enjoy in movie theatre seating. The breakfast was simple but adequate to start our day. It was such a fun experience and we can’t wait to go back.

Stayed Jul 12, 2024We chose this lodging for the location, as a perfect base of operations for our Up North vacation. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room to be enormous, and immaculately clean. We did not use the theater, which looks amazing. This would be an ideal place to host a wedding, in the ballroom, and guests could stay on afterward.

Stayed Aug 8, 2025Whomever thought of converting a school into an event center with guest suites is a genius. This is a great place to stay - old classrooms provide for huge guest suites, amenities are well-stocked, staff stays behind the scenes but is always reachable, arcade room is an added bonus. The courtyard is nicely maintained and a good spot for morning coffee. Within a half hour of both Manistee and Cadillac. I would certainly stay here again in the future.
