Gather with family and friends for that fabulous ski and winter sport vacation. Berkshire East is 12 minutes way and Mt Snow can be reached through picturesque back roads in less than an hour. Enjoy apres-ski solitude or social life in this recently redone, well-worn, 19th century, 3-level, 12-room Federal-style house on 8 wooded acres located in a quiet side street of Shelburne Falls. With high speed Internet and its well-equipped kitchen and communal dining indoors and out, the house is ideal for family, friends, celebrations and retreats. The house is within easy walking distance of the renown Bridge of Flowers and glacial potholes and many shops. A stone's throw to Berkshire East, in summer, it is ideal for river swims and sports, while offering gorgeous all-level hikes and foliage views. Outings can be enhanced by our guided forest walks, perfect for finding the road back to yourself. AC in main room, and 3 upstairs bedrooms, others have fans. Please ask about stairs and suitability for toddlers and elderly. You can read all about our village in the New York Times: One of the film stars stayed in our house for a full month!

The home provided the perfect setting and space for us to come together as a family and have a great dinner and breakfast together. The host was very responsive and accommodating with all of my questions along the way.

The various levels were excellent! Everyone loved the space and the beds were so comfortable. Excellent hot water and air conditioning.

We had a sort of family reunion. Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins from 7 to 70. We filled all seven bedrooms, fixed and ate all our meals there, and had a great time. Everything was comfy and worked well. If I was forced to say something negative, I would just say there are a lot of narrow, steep stairs that could be a concern for those with mobility issues.

Plenty of rooms, but chairs and sofas could use an update. Oven part of stove did not work and kitchen air conditioner needs to be replaced if anyone is staying during high heat months. Enjoyed the local restaurants and Salmon Falls gallery. Younger members of family enjoyed the hiking, fishing, and Berkshire East. We are very familiar with Shelburne Falls and the very friendly atmosphere of this lovely, unchanged by time Village.

Everyone enjoyed staying here, there were lots of smiles but there were come concerns about the number of lady bugs in the bedrooms. It must have been their time to swarm, as there were a few in many of the rooms, presumably because some of the windows don't close tightly. Again, everyone had a fine time, and the location and the 2 or 3 block walk to town was perfect. It was charming and comfy and the many bedrooms were great.

Five of travelled to Massachusetts for a brewery tour and we decided to get a house instead of the usual hotel. We are glad we did! This house was as advertised with lots of charm and character. The age of the house was apparent but in a good way. It felt historical!

Property manager was very responsive with any questions and a unique place to stay in a very small town environment.
