Welcome to Great Escape Cabin, a VERY rustic, traditional, and private Connestee Falls log cabin, with features your entire group will love! Located only a short drive from the Connestee Falls Main Gate, this rustic and unique cabin has a circular driveway and flat parking pad. The home has 2 unique living spaces, with a screened-in porch breezeway in the middle!

One side of the Great Escape Cabin was built in the 1970's and is lovingly referred to as the old side. The main level of the old side is home to the primary living room, kitchen, dining room, and half bath. A loft is situated above the main level living room. Two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and second living area are on the lower level. A screened-in porch breezeway connects the old side to the new side, built in 1987. The new side is home to 3 additional bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms!

When guests first arrive to Great Escape Cabin, the easily accessible main entrance of the home opens into the living area with rustic beams, original log walls, a wood-burning fireplace, and plenty of seating. A half bath and a stairway leading to a loft with 2 twin sized beds are also at the main entrance. The kitchen and dining area for Great Escape Cabin are off the living room with a table for 6. The simple kitchen is home to an electric stove, standard 12-cup coffee maker, and all the dishes, pots, and pans guests will need to create meals for their group.

As you travel downstairs to the lower level of the old side, you will be greeted by a second living area, complete with games puzzles, and books for the whole family! Bedroom 1 is located on this lower level and is home to a queen-sized bed. Bedroom 2 is also located on the lower level and is home to a queen-sized bed. A full bathroom with a stand-up shower and laundry facilites complete the lower level of the old side of the home.

The old side of the home is connected to the new side by way of an amazing screened in porch. An extra dining table, rocking chairs, and nature views can all be enjoyed from the cozy breezeway.

The uper level of the new side is home to a master bedroom (Bedroom 3) with a queen-sized bed and ensuite bathroom. The bathroom is complete with a roll in shower. The lower level of the new side is home to Bedroom 4 with a queen-sized bed, a full bathroom with a shower/bathtub combo, and Bedroom 5 with a queen-sized bed.

The Great Escape Cabin provides guests multiple options for soaking up the outdoors. Enjoy morning coffee or tea from the cozy screened-in porch while enjoying the sounds of the birds. Grill out on the lower patio and enjoy nature views from the open back deck!

Connestee Falls is a private, amenity rich community, less than 20 minutes from Downtown Brevard. With over 20 miles of private hiking trails (including waterfall hikes), privately maintained and stocked fishing lakes, heated pool, and pickleball, guests can have an adventure filled vacation without ever leaving the community! The Clubhouse and pool, golf course, tennis, and bocce courts are only a few minute drive away. When guests are ready for hiking, waterfalls, and biking adventures outside the community, limitless options await with Dupont State Forest and Caesars Head Visitor Center less than 20 minues away, Pisgah National Forest less than 30 minutes away, and Gorges State Park less than 45 minutes away.

    Great weekend with family. Cabin had plenty of bedrooms and a great new deck with nice view. I would suggest someone starts the dehumidifier and air conditioners a few hours before guests arrive to get rid of any humidity during the summer months.

    Great location and plenty of bedrooms for a large family gathering. Really cool how there is the original side of the home and the addition of a newer side with three more bedrooms and two full baths. We did not like the small living room area or the limited seating at the kitchen table (we had a party of 9), but we should have recognized this from the photos of the property. The back deck is great, and the property is very private.

    The host was very responsive to my many questions regarding Wi-Fi connection, an unfortunate power outage, and television operation. Most rentals have a detailed packet which contains all this information...this one did not. The location was excellent with the property located on the outer edge of development in the community, very private. A couple of things on the negative side... when we arrived, I walked through at least 10 spider webs at head height throughout the various rooms; it's a cabin in the mountains but these should have been addressed. The property comfortably slept our party of 9, but the living room and kitchen seating is limited to about 6 in each room, so gathering together in one room was difficult. These are really pretty minor detractions from what was a very enjoyable weekend with my family; I would recommend this property to any group of 7-10 people, understanding the above limitations for family seating. One more thing, the back deck is awesome!!
