Stayed Feb 20, 2025Needed a large house for three families & two dogs for our annual trip. Gray's Crossing tends to be a great location given its proximity to Truckee & the general population of large houses. This house fit the bill - large, spacious, and clean. A few detailed notes for others who may stay here: - large wide open area connecting the family room & kitchen. if everyone sleeps at the same time, not a problem. if you have some folks who stay up late, could be an issue since noise travels easily/far. - lots of area around the house for dogs to roam around. note that most other neighbors have off leash dogs, so be mindful in case your dog is not friendly. - driveway could be steep enough that with heavy snow cars w/o 4 wheel drive, you could have a tough time leaving. we didn't personally face this issue as we had warmer weather.

Stayed Dec 21, 2024My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming cabin in anTruckee and it exceeded all of our expectations. Nestled in a quiet, forested area, the cabin offered the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience, with just a short drive to both the lake and nearby ski resorts as well as downtown Truckee. The cabin itself was spacious, cozy, and immaculately clean. The open-plan living area, complete with a stone fireplace, created a welcoming atmosphere for relaxing after a day of outdoor adventures. Large windows offered stunning views of the surrounding forest, and the deck was the ideal spot for morning coffee or evening stargazing. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook meals during our stay. Bedrooms were comfortable, with soft linens and plenty of storage space, ensuring we felt right at home. The bathrooms were updated with modern fixtures, and the hot tub on the deck was a welcome treat after a long hike. What truly stood out was the attention to detail. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. They provided useful local recommendations for dining, activities, and hidden gems around the area.Whether you’re looking to unwind, hit the slopes, or enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe, this cabin is an ideal base. Highly recommend!
