Grandparent's Dream-Family Reunion Headquarters, Brings Spring and/or Summer Joy

Great house that gave us lots to do and places to chill. We are looking forward to staying again. The host was very reponsive and a joy to work with. We made many memories over the weekend.

Great property and owners are very kind and helpful! Location is close to Captain Ron’s so it’s perfect for everyone. We love the sandy beach area and the swings on the dock. We’ll be back!

We were looking for a dog-friendly property with a zero-entry beach so the dog (and we!) could swim. This place was all that and then some.  The house is quite spacious, with plenty of bedrooms/beds/bathrooms for all, with plenty of room to spread out.  The house has everything you could need or want, and the deck is so nice to sit on in the morning and enjoy that first cup of coffee.  We pretty much lived on the dock (and in the water).  Lots of great extras on the dock, but also in the house.  It's also just a minute off the main highway, and the (really nice!) grocery store and convenience stores are only a few minutes' drive.  Best of all, the owner/manager is very helpful, and she responds quickly. Very much appreciated!  

Perfect place for kids! The dock provided endless fun with the swings, lily pad, and net. The house was a great size for our party of 12 (6 adults, 6 kids) with it's open main floor and large kitchen island. The host was very friendly, helpful and responsive. Using her recommendations on dining/attractions/jet ski rentals saved us time researching. We had an amazing time!

We had an amazing time on our trip. Sol Mate was a big part of that. Everyone had so much fun in the lake, getting to see turtles come up to shore, and playing on the dock. The lily pad was a huge hit with the kids.The close vicinity to Captain Ron's was also a plus.We were a little disappointed that the Ms. Pac-man arcade machine was not working, but we had plenty of other activities planned that it didn't effect the mood of the group. Also, the deck and dock might need a bit of maintenance as there were some popped screws/nails that were only an issue if you were in bare feet.All in all, they were great hosts and not too bothersome, only checking in to see if everything was going smoothly.

This was our 3rd time staying at Grandparent's Dream. We absolutely love the location, the house amenities, and the dock, which is where we spend most of our time. The no wake cove makes it perfect for hanging out in the water, or go exploring in one of the provided kayaks. Being within walking distance to Captain Ron's is a huge plus as well. Our family is hoping to come back to this location for many years to come.

Great stay! Property was exactly as described in the listing. Great location and the large dock was great for family fun, fishing, and parking 3 boats. Will definately be booking again for future trips to the lake.

Property was a lot of fun. Great space for our family, plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Our kids loved the large bedroom downstairs off of the game room. Will have to return in summer to swim and enjoy the water.

Wonderful property! We had kids of all ages with us. There was so much fun to be had we never even left the house! We would love to stay again!

The property was fantastic. We really enjoyed fishing and swimming and the layout of the yard was great for games. The owner was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. Would highly recommend!

We truly enjoyed our time here. This home is set up perfectly for a family with lots of room and things to do. The space was clean, nice bedding, full kitchen amenities and room for parking. We spent most of our time outside, utilizing the dock, kayaks, beach area and hot tub. The cove was quiet and roomy for floating around. The location was close to Captain Ron’s, which I thought may be noisy or distracting, but it was not at all. It was just a nice convenience. Per my 4 year old granddaughter, “Best vacation ever!”.

We had a great time at this rental the home owners did a wonderful job with communication and check in. Although this was a fabulous home In my Opinion it wasn’t worth $7,000 a week. The beds were uncomfortable the couch was cheap and uncomfortable no TVs in the bedrooms the basement doors were broken and didn’t lock the speakers on the dock wouldn’t work although the owners did try to come fix them only one of the arcade games shown worked and the beach area has a bit of a drop off getting to the water not great for little ones and the hot tub was dirty and full of sand. Positives the house is updated and was clean. It’s walking distance to Captain Ron’s. The swings shown on the dock are kinda fun but don’t really swing great the net is only for lounging so almost more of a hassle to keep the kids from jumping on it

This is the perfect home for our family getaway! Loved the kid’s bunk room! Most importantly we had a beach and no step access to water. Our grands were outside 12 hours a day. Thank you!!

This property met the needs of our 3-generation family very well. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious enough for multiple cooks working on meal prep. The dock was the perfect spot to enjoy the hot sunny weather. The lilypad, kayaks and lawn games were enjoyed by all.

The house was absolutely perfect! The house and dock had everything we could have possibly needed to enjoy a lakefront stay. The host checked in during our stay to make sure everything was going well. We loved being in the no wake cove so the kids could kayak around all they wanted. FYI: If you are looking to rent a boat, Rad Dad Boat Rentals does deliver the boat directly to the house! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Definitely something for everyone!! The location is best feature...no wake zone so great for swimming and kayaking! Restaurant a few doors down with beach so kids play while adults adult:) (did that several nights) House has great open space and lots of sleeping possibilities. And Kristy was great!

This was our 2nd visit to Sol Mate. :) We chose to return because of its great location, as well as the many indoor & outdoor living areas/amenities of the property. Kristy’s communication was great before, during & after our trip…she was SO helpful!
