Stayed Sep 13, 2024Pros: - Communication with the host is easy, the host is extremely friendly, helpful, and respond super fast. Also provided us with plenty of recommendations for things to do in the area and food. - Location is close to Fairbank for all your shopping needs/activities, yet it's also far enough where it is quiet, peaceful, and enjoy a bit more privacy. -Property is clean, spacious yet cozy, and the beds are comfortable. Kitchen provided all the spices and condiments you need to make home cook meals if you desire. -Lookout deck is amazing, it comes with a chance to see wild life (saw a Moose during my stay) and Northern Lights Cons: -Beware!! Everything is actually so awesome that you'll be sad that you have to leave

Stayed Sep 24, 2025This is the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at, quality, host communication, amenities, everything. Becky really went above and beyond with this property, the history is incredible, it feels like a very special home where lots of precious family memories have been made (ours included). It was so cozy tucked away into aspen groves in the rolling hills outside of the city, but close enough to everything to make it convenient to get into town. The silverware and cookware was all in excellent condition. The place was spotless when we checked in. She even left some local chocolate and a gift basket. We truly felt the love and care put into our stay . It was the perfect place to end our long trip. Our kids had a blast hiding in the closets and chasing each other around the wood burning stove. The one and only thing that would have improved our experience was a washer and dryer, we ended up using a laundry in service in town.

Stayed Sep 14, 2025Great stay. Clean, comfortable and really cute place. Perfect spot to catch the Aurora Borealis last night. Host was awesome. Quick responder and very accommodating. Plenty of coffee and fixings each morning. Snacks available. Soft comfortable beds (super soft sheets). I highly recommend Grandma Julie’s place.

Stayed Aug 20, 2025Nice secluded home. Clean, nice bedding and towels. Had great space for the six of us. They provided several amenities including coffee beans, popcorn and basics condiments. Great communication with host. We used the wood stove, may be a little tricky if you aren’t comfortable with wood heat but if you use the written instructions you will be comfy warm in no time.

Stayed Jun 6, 2025By far, the best rental we have ever stayed in! If I could give more than five stars I would. Becky is a great hostess, she absolutely thinks of everything. Clean, spacious, the most amenities ever! Beautiful outdoor private property and sitting outside on the porch/deck was a favorite of ours.

Stayed Mar 30, 2025This cozy home outside of Fairbanks included exceptionally nice personal touches--A well stocked coffee and snack supply, comfy beds, well laid out floor plan along with historical pictures adorning the walls and bird feeders that attracted wildlife made it feel like a true home away from home. Owners made sure the driveway was plowed quickly after a snow and checked in to see if all was ok (which it was).

Stayed Feb 28, 2025I can't say enough about this VRBO, best we have ever stayed in. The drive from town is easy, the area is just secluded enough that you are close to the wonderful things Fairbanks has to offer but are surrounded by Alaska - woods, birds and some elusive moose. The large wrap around deck provides a comfy location for viewing the Northern Lights (spectacular). The many windows allow you to sit by the wood stove and watch as snow covers the spruce and birch trees. The owners/hosts have renovated this beautiful older home so that the amenities are all modern, the kitchen is wonderfully stocked (utensils and spices), furniture is comfortable and all of this is surrounded by the sweet history of family (homemade afghans, family photos, books, games and Alaskan decor, house plants and birdfeeders. There were only two of us but the house has plenty of room for a good sized family. The hosts are delightful and truly care about making your stay the best without being in any way intrusive. Thank you Becky, Grandma Julie's legacy lives on through you!

Stayed Sep 28, 2024This is the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed at. This felt more like we were guests at someone’s home than renting a property. The house is immaculate, there are live house plants inside, and a bird feeder outside. So many nice touches that we don’t usually see like: all the silverware matched, the pots and pans were high quality brands, Becky provided whole bean coffee and a coffee grinder along with the coffee maker, a gift basket and a basket of snacks, there are toys for kids to play with, and on and on. She truly provides everything you need. This house deserves a 12 out of 10.
