The cabin smelled musty, moldy and gross. The furnishings (including smells) are straight from 1970’s. The cabin was hot as they only had one large and two small fans. The cabin was 80 degrees and the three fans did nothing to cool down the cabin let alone help with the smell. It smelled like old musty dank carpet and mildew. The tub was moldy and the shower head was off. I don’t mind dated decor but the carpet is probably from the 70’s or earlier. We originally booked two days but left after one. The couch was dirty with crumbs all in it. The lampshades were cracked.

Great quiet get away. It was lovely to have the yard and canoes.

Cozy and beautiful! The property and cabin were amazing. We loved canoeing over to the beach and swimming in the lake. The cabin was clean and cozy and had everything we needed including maps and information on fun locations nearby. Very close to town while also feeling secluded. Everything was wonderful.

Great location and a charming small town. Close to Pictured Rocks National Park so you can experience hikes and drive about 60 min to Munsing where the tours honor of. The canoes which have you access to Lake Superior were hard to get in and out of because of no dock but we were able to manage. We had a great stay!!!

This place was perfect for our family. We stayed through the 4th of July. Cute little town right down the road. Big 4th of July festival and fireworks. Kitchen is fully loaded with dishes and utensils!! Bonus for cooking in.

This place was spotless ! Location was perfect. Views gorgeous! Can’t wait to come back when weather is warm to use the boats to cross the pond to walk on the Lake Superior shoreline. We did not get to enjoy the yard because we went in the colder weather, but it was beautiful with a nice deck and fire pit. It was easy to contact someone for questions, With prompt responses. Make sure to eat breakfast or brunch at the West Bay Diner that is right up the road. Also, the Lake Supererior Brewery had fantastic service and great food.

Myself and a group of friends stayed in the cabin for a couple of days and used it as a jumping off spot for Grand Marais & Pictured Rocks. A beautiful natural setting near the Lake Superior shore. Three comfortable bedrooms & one full bath. A great outdoor setting with a grill, fire pit & canoe. Highly recommend for anyone making a visit to this area!

We had a great stay here! Plenty of space for our family of five, a great spot for campfires, and short drive to restaurants and beach in Grand Marais. Our kids loved the extras like coloring books and building blocks too.

The accommodations were as advertised. Initially, and prior to making final payment before arrival, had difficulty contacting the property manager, but once communication was established, communication was very good. Upon arrival there were some construction issues, but the property manager made some grateful compensations. Would definitely stay at this VRBO again.

So I loved the home itself, I was bummed because the distance to the actual pictured rocks was over 30 miles away when I asked prior to booking, the lakeshores to pictured rocks national forest was just over 2 miles away, but the actual rocks were WAY further, the pond is more of a river to the lake as well and pretty seeweed-ish to swim, we did get to play with a fun snapping turtle we named Fred? he came to say hello, hanged out and left. The septic had backed up so we were unable to do laundry on-site but she allowed us to bring to the hotel if needed. It did smell and we tried to hold off flushing/use of water as much as possible due to that reason, she called two hours prior to us arriving to let us know but we had been on the road for a few hours at that point. Overall I did enjoy it, it was more of a hike to everything than I thought but if you aren’t looking to adventure near the home and more of just a Get away, I recommend! Once septic is fixed and you don’t have a set plan for something that isn’t do-able to this location it will be perfect!!:) may book again in the future
