If you're a flatlander from Kansas, this is exactly the kind of cabin you dream of. Top of a hill at the end of a cul-de-sac. Private, but not isolated. Quiet. A three-sided wrap-around deck with a variety of views of the 14-ers, plus a bonus vista to the east a few steps up the hill behind the cabin. We spent the majority of our four days on the deck. There seemed to be different climates available on each of the three sides. Breezy, sunny, shady, cool, warm. Take your pick! (early July)Inside, the layout of the cabin with the vaulted main kitchen/dining/living/TV area is connected to the vaulted game room on the same level which makes the entire space feel very roomy and open. There were only two of us (and a couple of pups), so we barely used all the space, but with larger groups it would be easy to close the French doors to the game room to mask out any noise from that area. By the way, if you're bringing a dog along, don't pack gates for the deck like we did. They already had them. This is the type of place where you pull up, unload and put your food in the fridge and everything is just... ready. Big TV. Clean. Comfortable. Relax. We used tap/well water for coffee and it was the best we've ever brewed. Same ground we usually use. Maybe it was the altitude? (Oh, they have a stocked Kurig/Tea/Cocoa station too)On top of all of that, the owners were incredibly gracious to work with us to reschedule our reservation due to a family crisis a year earlier. THANKS!!!

We came to Bear Crossing from MA because our nephew was getting married in the “neighborhood”. The property was pristine; better than the photos! Everything that we thought we forgot was there for us! We absolutely loved spending time in the game room, especially playing pool. Sitting on the deck with coffee listening to nature come alive and taking in the stunning views never got old. The sunset and stars were magical. Comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, and quiet spaces. The hosts were fantastic and answered questions via text promptly. We will be back!

My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights in this cabin. Quiet, relaxing, and remote. Great features. Away from it all yet a great compliment of modern conveniences. Comfortable beds. A nice Traeger smoker grill in great condition. Lots of firewood available for the wood stoves inside. Don't miss the bench on the hill behind the house. A great place to sit and reflect.

My family had the best long weekend at this cabin. There were so many cozy, quiet areas for each of us to find a personal activity and unwind. The house is abundantly stocked with all necessary kitchen items, books, games, and toys. We loved the chess and pool tables. Our favorite was hands down the surrounding views of the mountains, nearly 360 degree. Comfortable beds, thoughtful extras, dog-friendly, and super clean. We can’t wait to return!

We had a great time at Bear Crossing. It’s definitely off the beaten path in a beautiful setting. So much to explore in the area. We were treated to 6” of fresh snow and found great snowshoeing trails. Fantastic place for a family gathering!
