Stayed Dec 4, 2025This is a large house that holds 12 people. However, it is a very hold house and the uneven floors and VERY treacherous stairs were a challenge for some family members but this was not mentioned in the description. A young, able bodied 28 year old fell down the stairs! The kitchen was not very clean with dirty dishes in cupboards and food on cabinets. Also, the dishwasher was broken. There was no hot water in the downstairs bathroom and the downstairs bedroom was not heated (it was very cold outside). I understand that it’s an old house but none of this was mentioned and for the price you would expect better accommodations. It worked for our situation but we would not go back. Also, I will not rent with Vacasa again! They changed their price to add a night within two hours of giving me a quote. All correspondence with them was an AI bot.

Stayed Aug 23, 2025We greatly enjoyed the house, It has old charm and a sense of history. The winding layout was great. There is a huge yard, so felt very private. In spite of age, the bedrooms and bathrooms were all updated. Also, plenty of bathrooms, which was great for our extended family of 12. The kitchen needs some updating, mainly the dishwasher. Beaches are closeby. Easy to get to grocery stores. We were not told when trash pickup was, so we had to call the trash company to find out. Also, the trashcans were full when we got there, so perhaps the previous guests didn't put it out. Would suggest that the housecleaners check for this when they come in.

Stayed Aug 30, 2025Very nice and large house in a beautiful setting! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Our group loved the historic architecture and the 1849 age! Beautifully updated and maintained and the VRBO took our reports on things like a broken window and dishwasher door which are likely fixed. Lovely property and we will definitely stay there again!

Stayed Aug 2, 2025Someday this will be a great rental, but as of August 2025 there are a bunch of issues future renters should be aware of.-One of the 7 bedrooms doesn't have a door, so only count on 6.-No curtains in the bathrooms; lots of light, but no privacy.-The master suite is huge. The other bedrooms and bathrooms are pretty small. Everyone in your group will want the master.-The bathroom attached to one bedroom doesn't have a door.-Very little storage space in the kitchen. Some drawers are broken, others are full of debris from the recent renovation. The pantry is also full of stuff that doesn't belong there.-Dishwasher should have been replaced. Among other things, the door springs have failed, so use caution when opening it.-No dressers, tables, or nightstands in the bedrooms. Minimal counter space in the bathrooms. Plan on living out of your suitcase.- Danielle (the other review) must have brought her own kayaks as there are no boats included with the house.-Don't count on support from Vacasa customer service. They are agreeable on the phone/text, but don't follow thru.

Stayed Jun 18, 2025Charming and Relaxing Stay at The White Pillars! We recently stayed at the beautiful and historic White Pillars house and couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the charm and history of the home. Inside, the house was spacious, with tasteful cape style décor and plenty of natural light. There were two living room spaces that had comfortable seating, a pool table, and a beautiful 3 seasoned porch where we enjoyed our breakfast each morning. The kitchen had a spacious pantry to store all our food and snacks. We enjoyed evenings outside by the fire pit, while kids played whiffle ball and other lawn games. The bedrooms were clean, airy, and comfortable, and additional towels were provided. Most bedrooms include their own private bathroom which was perfect if traveling with a large group. The location was ideal — there is a pond at the end of the street where we enjoyed kayaking each day. The house is close to local shops, seafood shacks, beaches, and scenic bike trails. We spent our days exploring nearby towns like Harwich and Dennis port, and our evenings enjoying seafood feasts and watching the sunset over the water. Overall, this Cape Cod house was the perfect retreat. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or a base to explore the Cape, this place has it all. We can’t wait to return!
