Three consecutive years renting this property for our annual end of season golf weekend.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The garage door would not open. The gas grills were a mess and broken. The plumbing leaked under the sink. The stove knob was broken. The microwave has a broken piece. The was a lack of towels and sheets. The Beachwalk workers did a good job of fixing the majority of issues, but the owners need to provide a better quality experience.

My husband and I took our kids/grandkids for the weekend, the guest services/check-in were the stars from start to finish. Always patient, friendly and helpful. The kids and their kids stayed in the main house, my husband and I stayed in the guest house, loved how convenient that was, allowed PaPa to handle his fantasy football draft with some much needed quiet. Would definitely visit this property again, kids loved the screened in porch, one said I want to stay here forever Plenty of room for people to have their own space yet areas where you could spend quality family time when you wanted to huddle as a family. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Our parents requested a vacation in Mi for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. While we didn’t end up in Michigan, Michigan City Indiana, was a beautiful alternative. We stayed at the colorful & vibrant Beachwalk Resort, which offered plenty of activities & charm. The home had a fantastic screened-in wraparound porch & fire pit. Our group of 15 fit comfortably, with a sibling group splitting the 3rd fl, 4 couples occupying 2nd fl, parents enjoying a main fl bedroom w/an attached bath & another couple occupying the guest house. Guest house was fully equipped w/its own amenities, though it has stairs. We contacted the resort after we left regarding an item left & they contacted the next day letting us know it was found.The location was convenient—just a 5 min drive to Washington Beach w/paid parking, easy access & another beach entrance was within walking distance, though a bit more of a trek. We also visited Indiana Dunes National Park, 20 mins away, 40 mins to vistor center. Essentials were nearby including Al’s Supermarket & firewood sold a block away. That said, there were a few downsides: kitchen was disorganized, some broken cookware, & only 1 of 4 grills worked (barely). Guest house lacked cookware but the main house had enough to share. The resort lake is best for kayaking, paddleboarding, ect not swimming but Lake Michigan’s beach is close!Overall this spacious home is great for lg groups, Wed stay again & w/some care & organization to the kitchen it would be better.

We had great fun signing up for kayaking, yoga, pickleball and bingo!But this house needs some attention. Too many plumbing issues, broken doors, and a terrible stove!

Park is across the street and kids could enjoy the open space. Golf cart is a plus for older members of our family. We especially like the large screened porch. Grills were not in working condition. So make a plan B if your meals include a grill. Gas stove in main house didn’t work well-burners stayed on and “off” wasn’t always off. House was clean when we arrived. Furniture in tv room had a lot of stains. TV room is small. Lots of table space for eating indoors and table on the porch. We enjoyed severalgame nights at the tables. Fire pit area is very nice. Kitchen wellsupplies.

We have been coming to beachwalk several years and these were the worst cookware we have had. Bedrooms and bathrooms terrific. The living room was too small for family to watch movies together

The feed from the condeser was frozen, and portable units were brought in to make the house livable. The staff was very nice, responded to our needs and came out the next day and fixed the problem.

A short walk to the tennis court, cafe, pool and Lake Kai. It sits directly across from a park where we played daily wiffle ball! The wrap-around porch is amazing. The house and guest house easily accommodated our group of 14. There were multiple small issues with the house and the maintenance team was quick to respond. Overall, the home could benefit from a refresh all around but it is great of you don’t mind outdated appliances and fixtures.

Changed houses this year and had some issues with the house, things not working, AC quitting twice, etc. Maintenance responded quickly but the problems were not resolved.

There are some tired mattresses and others that are in great shape. The gathering TV room is small but that works for our group. Has doors that close so the TV watchers are separated from the game players at the tables. Great table space for large group that includes tables on screened porch. No coffee maker for k-cups this year. Skillets were difficult to cook with as the coating was worn off and scratched. Can find anything you’ll need in the kitchen. Crib and pack n play available. High chair and booster seat for the little ones needed a big scrub down this year. The large screened porch is a favorite feature for our group. The location is one of the best at Beachwalk. We have stayed in 5 other homes through the years. The bedroom set up works great for our family. Enjoyed our stay and plan to be back at The Roses next year.

It is nice having the golf cart and there is something for everyone to do. I should get a commission from Beachwalk for the amount of people I have told about this place. We will be back because the whole family loves it.

We are ages 1 to 70 and al found it great!!
