Grand Beach House in Beachwalk Resort 6 Bedrooms Just Minutes to the Beach

The house was well equipped and in great condition. We had an awesome time.

The only issues were with the carpets in the upstairs BRs being dirty (flea bites) and the one of the double beds had a big hole in the mattress. The vacuum cleaner did not work and there was not a dustpan with the broom. In general, the house worked very well for us and everyone had a great time at the beach, pool, playground and lakeside activities.

The home had some issues, 2 rooms had no lights, there was something broken on the fridge, no water coming out. The carpet was worn and appeared dirty, put probably just needed to be gotten rid of. The outdoor grill was so dirty that it took me at least an hour of my vacation time to scrub it so we could use it. So, I think the house could use a little bit of care. Upon arrival, the upstairs main bath wasn't cleaned very well, big hair ball in the drain. The home was spacious enough for 15, 8 adults and 7 children. Definitely need a golf cart if you want to spend time at the beach, its a little bit of a walk as the home is in the back of the resort. Amenities at the resort were great, the beach was beautiful! Lots to do for all ages, our kids were 1-12. I would recommend this home overall if the issues were addressed. I did contact the management and they did respond quickly, just weren't able to fix the fridge or lights during our stay. The only negative about the management company was I requested compensation due to a very big issue no lights in 2 of the bedrooms. They initially responded quickly, but then dropped the ball and never gave me a final answer. Thats why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5.

Walk to pool is doable for all-golf cart would make it less stressful. Arrangement of house and supplies as described. Had to make multiple calls for trash removal. No cans at house. Unable to control/maintain indoor temperature. Cold in basement. Hot on second floor. Maintenance checked/cleaned the unit but issues continued.

Plus we had friends and their children from another house constantly coming over and running through the place. The open-living area is perfect for adults to hang out in (special shout out to the AMAZING kitchen table) and the children loved the downstairs so much, calling it Kid Land. The children were able to sleep through the night downstairs despite the adults laughing and being loud while playing games all night upstairs. And we never heard our neighbors even though the homes look close together. There were a few extra items you wish the house had in the kitchen, but again that’s just extra stuff. We made do with what was available and didn’t give it a second thought. And we appreciated the two coffee makers, one for k-cups and one with a pot. Any other little things that weren’t perfect or were odd, you just forget about because you’re having a wonderful vacation. And the location of the house is great. It’s off the main road so a bit quieter and close to the playground and bocce ball court for the kids. The pool never felt far away and it’s such a nice setup there; lots to do and spacious. The Beachwalk community can’t be beat! Plus, love the landscaping and shade provided by the old trees. We will be back! Oh, a golf cart would be a great addition to the home. We used our friends often for the kids and the grandparents just to make life easier.
