The house had great separate spaces including outdoors with pool table. Lots of fun.

Our group of friends had an unforgettable time at this forest house! The place is immaculate equipped with abundant facilities, all sorts of kitchen tools along with safety equipment. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Though the first night was a bit chilly, (even though our stay was during summer), Jim kindly came and taught us how to use the fireplace and prepared us with a lot of firewood. That truly was a very special experience for city residents like us. While chatting, Jim realised that we were planning to make pizza from scratch during our stay. He then generously brought a stone pizza plate and pizza peel, making our self-made pizza the highlight of our Christmas dinner. And the electric kitchen scale was definitely a key necessity, as we rarely find one in other holiday houses. We have to say, the owner of the house has prepared everything possible to make the place the feel like home to anyone who stays. Another favourite part of our stay was the variety of animal visitors we saw around the house. During the mealtimes, we had kangaroos, emus, deer, cockatoos and kookaburras wandering outside the house! We also had a mother bird sitting in her nest (a hanging straw basket prepared by the owner, how sweet!) hatching two eggs under her belly! We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the owners of the house and would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to enjoy a serene and relaxed place in the forest.

It was a truely amazing place

Our group of friends, along with their kids all had a great time on the property. We loved seeing the local wildlife and hearing the kookaburras laugh. We used the firepit nightly and it was fantastic to sit around the fire, drinking wines from the local wineries after a day exploring the area. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were very comfortable, plenty of space for our group of 7 adults and 6 kids.

fabulous property- close to Halls gap centre. Has a pen outback for doggies and a huge camp fire area. great for families. we had a bunch of kangaroos on the first morning nibbling the grass out front- it was beautiful. my only caution would be that if you have people upstairs and you are sleeping downstairs, you hear the creaking floorboards. so bring earplugs if youre sensitive to that stuff. But its a gem of a property-i'd come back.

A well equipped house for a large family, extended family or a few families. Extensive property was enjoyed by inquisitive grandkids. Only suggestion would be to add some plastic ware in the kitchen for younger children.

Picture perfect, amazing location for a group of family or friends. Lots of space for everyone to relax. It comes with all amenities you need for a great holiday. It exceeded our expectation

We had an amazing time, the housevwas so cozy and warm in the middle of winter, perfect location to be based at, and so cool seeing all the kangaroo's bouncing through the property

Comfortable place, great for a couple of families. Large enough so we did not feel on top of each other. Enjoyed the bush surroundings. Loved the emus and kangaroos that came by each day.

The property was well positioned and a good size for a family.

Although a little dated, this place was perfect for our needs. Lots of bedrooms and a full kitchen meant we could self cater. It’s in a quiet location and fantastic to just sit and chill after our function.

Very disappointing bed linen hadnt been changed went and sleeping bags to sleep in carpet s all stained hadnt been cleaned and couch up stairs was all stained would not reccomend to any one as very poorly kept .Tried getting in touch with host couple of times but did not reply house could be really lovely if it was maintained cobwebs over all windows very dissapointedshould have reviews before we booked there.

Rubbish all around the outside of the property from the bin, rotting green waste left in the kitchen, dishwasher left with food scraps and dirty water in the bottom, glasses cups and utensils all needed to be washed, stained carpets that don't look to have been vacuumed and stained bedsheets that don't look to have been changed. Several cockroaches had to be removed from the kitchen plus the smoke detector continually beeps. We changed the battery and it still beeped. Messaged the owner but still have not received a reply. Overall very disappointed. The place is large and has potential but is poorly kept with little evidence of it being recently used or cleaned.

This is a great spot. Plenty of room for a small family gathering. Great sized bedrooms. Highly recommend.

The wifi didn't work, so all phones on Optus had no phone service. Neither of the TV 'S worked as they needed wifi. I had to hotspot one TV with my phone to watch any movies. The other TV had a Telstra TV box that had expired 2 months before! There was no information on the bins and the bins were full and out on the road our whole visit. The BBQ didn't work and was unclean, we had to go buy a lighter to get it working. There were little ants all over front and back door light switches and one switch was making sparking noise. We couldn't work out the property boundary so felt uncomfortable exploring the area on foot. Provided a nice coffee machine, but again no instructions so we had to work it out ourselves. Stains on my pillow case and sheets weren't on bed properly. Lots of cobwebs and dead flies. The pool table was fun, but only 1 cue in working order and the table wasn't level. Wonderful wild life at the door: kangaroo, wallabys, emus, birds

Disappointed when we arrived and property hadn’t been cleaned. Host got onto cleaner and they came out after a while but couldn’t do a lot until they finished which took a few hours. The property itself was just what we wanted, great outdoor space and plenty of room for our large group. For such a large group, we did find the kitchen area was a bit small and could’ve done with more cooking trays/dishes.

a little disappointed with the upkeep of the house. Rubbish over the drive when we arrived and bins over full. The towels had been folded and put on the beds but some still damp. We put them all through the dryer. Lots of the plates and cups had chips. Lots of spider webs. These are all minor things and such a pity to spoil your holiday home, in a great location.

Love the house, have stayed before. It is in need of some work. Bed linen dirty, garden overgrown, floors dirty with bugs, shower needs a good clean. Such a great location and vibe but disappointing level of hygiene

Quiet bushy location, plenty of space, great fire pit area. Short drive into town.

Nice place

Great place for grandparents and family. There was a master bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Lovely sofas downstairs with multiple living areas and a huge dining table. Great barbecue. The property was great for walks with our dog, outside seating. Lots of wildlife wondering through. Would definitely book again.

Despite assurances that cleaners had been in and cleaned prior to our arrival, the property was really dirty and inhabitable - we had to seek out alternative accomodation.

The livingroom was basically heated by a wood stove, but the woodshed was empty. The design of the room leads to all the heat rising up into the upper bedrooms. A ceiling fan may help.

We had a great stay and will definitely be back we did have a issue on the first night which Georgie sorted out straight away and the rest of our stay was exactly what we needed. Perfect quiet location with plenty of wildlife to watch.

The house was in the perfect location, private, close to town & the beautiful Grampians. Very clean , comfortable & the dog loved it. Would return!
