Gorgeous waterfront home with private hot tub, pool, views, deck, & fireplace

Location is great

Loved this house. Great for families and even with a baby it was perfect! Loved the location and the view from the decks are the best! Loved sitting out with coffee in the morning or hanging out watching the stars at night. Can’t wait to rent again!

This home had a great view, but with a 2nd row price. There were so many lightbulbs out that the repair guy had to return the next day because he ran out. When he came back I asked him to fix the TV, and while he didn't know how, he sent someone out within the next couple of hours. Vacasa guest services were outstanding! The home didn't have 10 dinning chairs as advertised, there were only two TVs (for 10 people), there were hardly any board games, the fireplace wasn't for guest use, and there wasn't enough drawer storage. While the house was clean, including the bedding, we did have a cockroach on day 3 (after a tropical storm), which was off putting.

It seems like it’s oceanfront with the view. However, since the pier is no longer open, the parking lot has become public parking for beach access. So it was fairly crowded in that area. The beach access was great, a very short walk just across the road. Our only problem was that it could have been cleaner. There was a used razor left in the shower, a spit can on the porch, and on of the bedspreads and shams needed to be washed thoroughly.

We had a few things we were unhappy with at the house. It was 85 degrees in the house when we arrived and it took SEVERAL hours to cool. One of the doors to the back porch was missing a door handle, so it wouldn’t lock. Hopefully they have gotten that fixed. There were a couple other minor things, but the stay ended up being enjoyable. The house is beautiful, but I feel like Vacasa could do better managing it.

There were a few things that made us unhappy with our stay. First, when we checked in at 4:30pm the house was 84 degrees downstairs and 87 degrees upstairs. Obviously that’s unacceptable when you pay that much to stay somewhere. There were two infants 10 months and under staying with us and it was 81 degrees in their room when we were putting them to bed. The house is managed by a property manager (Vacasa). They were quick to message me back, but they didn’t seem empathetic at all. Their recommendation was “to set the thermostat to the desired temperature and wait for it to cool the house” lol. By the next morning, the house had cooled to 70 degrees and there were no more issues with that. Next, one of the sliding doors in the kitchen had recently been shattered by a wayward golf ball. The glass had been replaced but there was no door handle on the door leaving us unable to lock the door. This is an obvious safety hazard for several reasons. We were able to find some random poles in the garage to Jimmy the door were it wouldn’t open. There was also a few small pieces of glass left behind on the hardwood floor in the kitchen. My wife stepped on a piece, luckily it didn’t cut her foot. This was very concerning with infants crawling around. Lastly, the master bedroom had a very strong cheap cologne smell that would just about take your breath away. Luckily it was localized to that room only. The house really is beautiful, just needs better upkeep.

The house is located across the street from Holden Pier, both covered balconies have water views over the building at the pier so you feel like you are water front. The house is a good size with room for upto 10 people. There is a long dining table that will sit 10 people comfortably with 2 living spaces (one of each floor). Loved the location and the house was great. I would stay again.

Loved the access to the beach and the house was in great shape

Overall, the house was beautiful and had everything we needed. Was very close to the beach, shops, restaurants and activities. The pool and hot tub were both in great shape and we enjoyed both of them. The property team was very responsive when we reached out for assistance with a minor issue. Would stay here again!

Easy access to the beach. House needs updated celing fans and lighting. Several blinds in the home were broke. Added cookware would be good. A/C didn't cool very well. And there were a few roaches in the home. And ant problem in the kitchen.

We SO enjoyed our time in this home. It is spacious and there was plenty of room for all of us to be together but not be in each other’s way, lots of space for my young grandsons to play and explore. We loved the openness of it, and the views are so nice. we made good use of the beautiful pool, as well as the hot tub. We also loved the large shaded deck. We would absolutely stay here again.

This property will be a must revisit on my list. I love Holden Beach, been going for years now. But this was a super-super convenient location. Just a super quick walk across the street and then you are right there at the pier. And pretty much anything you can think of this house has. The ONLY flaw was that the living room furniture wasn't the most comfortable and unless you wanted to sit at the kitchen table, I personally didn't feel like there was enough seating if everyone wanted to watch a movie or something together. But not like we were watching much tv anyhow since there was the beautiful beach just outside our door, but that would be the only thing I would change if possible. We will for sure be back to this house. I loved it :) Thanks for sharing your home with my family!

The home was so pretty and comfortable, we enjoyed the private pool and hot tub, and loved sitting on the deck over the creek enjoying nature comfortably, and only a seven minute drive to the seashore!

We like Shiloh by the Sea for both location and price. It's a nice house and has ample room as well in a convenient location for beach access.
