The house was gorgeous!!we enjoyed our stay vwry much!! Some of the pictures were not accurate as some remodeling had been done. Directions and rules were a bit confusing as the listing and emails contradicted each other a bit. Some palces said 3 cars, some said 4. Some llaces said nk
Very spacious multi level home for a larger family. Wonderful kitchen with a large family/dining room area for spending time together. Great deck as well. We hope to return soon!
Very nice property. Roomy, clean, nice view, convenient location.
Great property for a family getaway. Lots of room for everyone. Close to many attractions in the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area. Would recommend to anyone going to that area!
Large and well appointed kitchen. Spacious home. Clean. 3 floors so privacy for each family. Very comfortable beds. Large picture windows on main floor that’s great for gathering Everyone together. Friendly, helpful owner. The only inconvenience was the 3rd floor shower wasn’t very warm so that family used an extra 2nd floor bathroom as needed. My 90 year old mom had help going up and down the first flight of stairs most the time to be with everyone. Overall, it was fabulous for our family!!
If was a great house with everything we needed. If you don’t like stairs this not the house for you .Great location.Great kitchen.
Spacious, with lots of light, and nice deck area. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking with a nice gas stove, and a large table for eating together. Beds were comfortable.
This quirky vacation home was perfect for our family. Upstairs for those with older kids, middle floor for Grandpa and Grandma and the lower floor for our family with younger kids. The kitchen, living area and deck were, by far, the most popular places for our family to hang out together. The owner introduced himself and was very responsive to any questions or concerns!!!
Loved to be able to be all together. Huge home with lots of space indoors and out on the deck. Definitely looking to rent again.
We truly enjoyed this beautiful house. Very well built, maintained and decorated!
Well stocked kitchen, everything was labeled which was helpful. Beds were comfortable and everything was as expected. Location as was great, close to many local activities.
We stayed in this home for 5 days with a group of 10 - 6 adults and 4 kids. The house had plenty of space for everyone and was quite comfortable. Everything was clearly labeled which did help with understanding what switches we needed for lights and where to find pots and pans. The beds were comfortable, the view was fantastic - we all enjoyed the deer that would come to graze all day long - and the location was perfect. Just a two minute drive to a great little beach where we found lots of sea glass and shells and only a few minutes from Fort Bragg, The house was unfortunately not that clean when we arrived. Everything was quite dusty, the trash had not been taken out in the kitchen and it smelled quite bad. We were just happy to be there so nothing too terrible, but definitely not what you would expect. Also disappointing was the hot tub not being in service. We only book houses in this area with a hot tub so to lose that the week before we checked in was really a bummer. In addition, the water conservation signs placed all over the house were intimidating and made us all nervous. They tell you that they are monitoring your water usage and that if you use too much they will close the house. What they didn't tell you is what too much is - we had 10 people and had to run the dishwasher twice a day. We had sandy clothes that we were afraid to wash. Most of us only showered once the entire time we were there out of fear of over use of water. We are from California so are highly respectful of the drought concerns we all have but these notices without further clarity about what would be OK to do made all of us feel pretty uncomfortable. It also led us to think that perhaps a house that hosts 10 people with this level of water concerns is not really a good fit for a vacation rental. At the very least some additional guidance on what would fall into ok levels of usage would be helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the house was great for our size group, but we would not book again.
When we arrived at Caspar Dream, we were met by a welcome crew of seven deer (three bucks, two does, and two fawns) grazing on the lawn outside. That pretty much set the tone for our entire stay. The location and views are incredible, and the interior common rooms, decks, and garden were perfect for a group of nine adult friends who appreciate space in their togetherness. The house was immaculate when we arrived, and everything from light switches to kitchen cabinets were well-labeled for ease of figuring things out. None of us could get cell service, but the internet was stable and fast enough that we didn't run into any issues. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would be happy to return to this dream house. Give our love to the deer!
The little kids loved bunking up together in the top floor bedroom. The teenager appreciated having his room separate on the bottom floor. The adults slept well too (the bedroom on the main floor was surprisingly quiet despite its proximity to the main living area). We all enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, relaxing on the deck and watching the ocean, deer, and turkeys. Would absolutely come again.
