Gainesville, Florida
This 1930s renovated 'cracker home' is right on the edge of the downtown area . It's only a few minutes walk to art, music, culture, parks, restaurants, bars and clubs and 11 blocks to the UF campus. The neighborhood is cozy with easy, convenient access to everything.
It is a renovated old style home, so while it has the character and style of the 1930s construction, it has all the modern amenities that make it more livable; central heat and air conditioning, updated bathroom with a great shower, renovated kitchen with modern appliances, wireless internet, and even a Netflix and SlingTV account just for this house. It is a very clean and comfortable house and everyone who stays here loves it!
The entire house is available for guests, including a nice screened front porch and back deck with a small yard. The shed in the back is for storage and is not available to guests.
- Please be mindful of noise and respectful to our neighbors. There is a 10 pm noise curfew in the neighborhood. Neighbors may call local law enforcement if noise levels are excessive after hours.
- Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside or outside of the home. Smoking will result in a $1,000 fee.
- Unauthorized pets will result in a $500 fee per pet.
- Unauthorized guests will result in a $500 fee per guest per night.
- We do not permit parties or gatherings at the home. Parties and gatherings will result in a $2,000 fee in addition to the unauthorized guest fees and immediate cancellation of your reservation with an escort off of the property by law enforcement.
Great location for our visit (we were doing some stuff out of town to the East too).
This was a lovely property -- clean, comfortable, within walking distance of many restaurants, and an easy drive to the campus of University of Florida. The owner was friendly and easy to reach.
Lovely vintage home near downtown Gainesville. Very easy to find and no issues with parking. There was plenty of room for our family of 3 to spread out or be together. Very comfortable beds and nice large couch. Will definitely consider staying here on my next trip to visit my Gator.
Amazing location just a short walk from downtown. Place was clean, large, had everything we needed. Will definitely be looking to stay here again!
I was in Gainesville for masterclasses at the music department of U of Florida. This was the PERFECT place to call home while here. Maria provided all we needed in a charming setting. I would definitely come back!
We stayed for a Florida football weekend and the property is less than a 5 minute walk to downtown Gainesville. Perfect location and the host was extremely responsive with anything we needed. Would love to stay at this property again!
Visited property after family was admitted to Shands.. Property was spectacular upon arrival. There was a slight hiccup when trying to gain access however the host responded quickly and resolved our issue. We were bummed that we weren't able to extend our stay. The experience (quietness, floorplan, neighborhood, supplies, etc.) spoiled my mother. I hope to visit the property again if I am in the area. Cheers!
I visited Gainesville with a few friends, and Maria and her property were amazing. We were in town for a competition It was easy to access find and close to everything that we needed. Looking forward to the next time we have a tournament in Gainesville to stay again.
comfortable overnighter
We loved staying at this downtown Gainesville property. Close enough for a $10 uber to UF Campus on Game Day (AND WE WON) and centrally located to great evening dining (LOVED DRAGONFLY) and Sunday Brunch (LOVED PARAMOUNT GRILL). Would definitely recommend it as a simple alternative for a family to stay while visiting their UF student! Thanks again Maria for everything! House was comfortable and quaint!
In town for the football game. Good location close to several entertainment areas. Had some issues with a malfunctioning lock but the property manager got us in. Overall a good place to stay!
