Gorgeous dog-friendly home with spectacular ocean views & deck - walk to Main St

Good location. Very spacious

Our stay was OK. The location was great and the house had tons of space. Nice views and lots of supplies (toys, cleaning supplies, condiments, etc.). It did not meet expectations for cleanliness: there were some dirty dishes on the shelves, dirt in some bathroom areas, etc.. The primary bedroom bed was not very comfortable and also loud (squeaky), which was a problem with our sleeping infant. Most critically, there was a large nest of yellow jackets just off the driveway. As I was unloading the car just after arrival I was swarmed and stung several times. Lucky that the baby was not! I had to leave the car doors open at night because they also completely infested the car. I understand that there's an element of bad luck that the yellow jackets chose this house to nest, but the reality is that it did happen, it did negatively affect our stay in a major way, and unless there are continuous preventative measures put in place this will continue to be a problem affecting this location in the future.

Great location! Close to beach and town so could walk everywhere. Home is cozy.

I’ve stayed in this house many times and I love the location- close walk to the beach and into town. The house is old but quaint and well maintained with some improvements each time I stay there. The upper deck has amazing views! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen fairly well stocked.

Every year our family gathers at the Oregon Coast. Hallie House is exceptional in its location, comfort, and amenities. It's very close to the beach. Watching the sunset over the ocean from the deck was a highlight. Great Wifi service, it was easy to connect and it supported multiple devices. The beds and couches are very comfortable. Ample entertainment choices are available: games, puzzles, multiple TVs. We had a great time in this great house!

3rd time staying here. Great home. Great location. Very clean. Lots of space. Well stocked kitchen. We liked the wood floors, but had one friendly suggestion; an area rug for the living room would make the room feel more cozy and cut down on echo ?

Coffee to happy hour was spent on the upper deck. A lot of ocean front houses have the dunes blocking the view and this home is above it all! Location was perfect. The house was appropriately stocked, and the beds were comfy! It's an old home and smells a little musty, but that is to be expected. Air hockey table is gone.

Another fun holiday in Manzanita. Hallie House works well for a group and is dog friendly. Close to the beach. Top deck has an amazing view of the ocean. Cleaners should clean the windows, inside and out. We bought Windex and cleaned the windows facing the beach. Sunsets were glorious. House is well-supplied. Could use an outside plug for charging EVs. Not a good place to rent if you have mobility issues. There are many steps, both to get into the house and once you're in the house. Main floor bathroom shower should have a sturdy grab bar. This is the 3rd time we've rented this house. Had a wonderful stay each time. Deck furniture is handy. Overall, an excellent rental. Just not if you find stairs a challenge.

A great location with a deck and kitchen that have a wonderful view of the ocean. Kitchen well appointed. Smart TVs in all rooms. Note that the Spectrum internet service is only 100Mbps which was fine for us, but could cause issues with a house full of streaming devices. King and Queen beds were same mattresses and quite comfortable -- on the softer side though, but not sure what's up with other complaints. BBQ worked fine. Tons of games and puzzles. Definitely issues with mold in the upstairs bathroom and its tub is quite difficult to step into. Would have been 5+ stars with a better upstairs bathroom.

The views from the house upper deck are awesome and the location of the house is ideal. The beds could use replacing. Kitchen tools (pots/pans) are dismal

This is the fourth time for us, we have made it an annual trip for our family. Walking distance to the beach, town, playground and the golf course, and the deck, perfect. If you're looking for a resort, look elsewhere, this home is the Oregon coast, perfect for a family who want to stay a family. Good conversation, good food and a great sunset. Enjoy

Our two families have visited Manzanita for the past 5 years and this will be the first time we book the same home again. The views from the top floor were a highlight but the whole stay was wonderful. Tons of space and storage (especially for our bikes in the garage!) the bunk bed room was a hit and the games available were such a nice gesture. See you next summer!

Spacious house in a great location - close to downtown and the beach. Wonderful views of the beach and mountain. Pretty typical beach house with some good amenities (lots of towels and glassware, comfy couch, nice fireplace, good heating system) and some that need to be replaced (uncomfortable queen sized mattress, sheets with shot elastic, air hockey table, some of the outdoor furniture).

The house is just a few minutes walk from the beach and the main street in town. The view from the dining room and upstairs family room is beautiful. Comfortable house with nice space for two couples and a teenager. Check-in was a pain with the door code not working. Was able to text with Vacasa to get a new code, but it took a while. Even with the new code it was hard to get in. You have to punch in the code really fast or it doesn't work. With a 10 digit code it's not easy. They should replace the system.

Second time staying here. Great location! Clean house, beautiful view. Will definitely stay again!

Some improvements were made after our previous issues with the house - it looked like the carpet had been cleaned; there was no longer a dog smell. The window lock in the bunk bed room had been fixed, which we appreciate. However now a window lock in the queen bedroom downstairs is broken and will not lock. The upstairs bathtub shower area still looked quite moldy, black mold on the ceiling, in the jets, in the space under the sliding door, still thick dirt or mold in the window track when you open the window. But we did appreciate that some issues had been addressed. We love the comfy feel of the house, the view, and location. Amazing deck!

Perfect size for 5 humans and a lab. Incredible views, comfy furniture, fenced enclosure, beach toys, air hockey, fun! Beach access two blocks south. Recommended!
